The classic Chaparral line features a slim silhouette and lightweight, precision-fitted construction. Thanks to the slipjoint mechanism , this model does not have a lock as such, allowing it to be used without problems in many countries with restrictive knife laws. CTS XHP steel guarantees long-lasting sharpness and high abrasion resistance, while the satin finish adds elegance to the blade and masks minor scratches. The whole is complemented by a grip made of Birdseye Maple - a stabilized wood with a unique grain pattern, giving each piece a unique character.
CTS® XHP - air-hardened, high-carbon and high-chromium corrosion-resistant American knife steel with a hardness of 60-64 HRC. Manufactured by powder metallurgy by Carpenter Technology Corporation. The alloy contains 1.6% carbon (C), 16% chromium (Cr) and 0.8% molybdenum (Mo) and 0.45% vanadium (V). Thanks to its properties, it is relatively easy to sharpen, retains sharpness for a very long time and provides high corrosion resistance. It is designed for the production of high-quality blades and knives.
Slipit - “no lock” non-locking mechanism used in folders in which the wedge is held open by spring pressure on a flat section at the back of the blade shank during use. TheSlipit holds the blade in both the folded and unfolded positions. When folded, it generates a smooth resistance as in a knife equipped with a traditional locking mechanism.
Blade - the slender blade is made of powder CTS XHP steel, valued for its excellent cutting properties and wear resistance. The leaf shape profile and full-flat grind ensure exceptional sharpness and low cutting resistance. The knife is opened with the characteristic Round Hole™, which allows intuitive one-handed unfolding. The lack of a classic locking mechanism is replaced by a slipjoint mechanism with positional resistance, reinforced by a notched-joint system . Additional functional elements, the notched-joint support for the thumb (spine jimping) and (finger choil jimping), an undercut for the index finger between the Handle and the cutting edge, improve control for precision EDC tasks. The overall design maintains an exceptional balance between functionality and subtle utility.
Handle - a combination of aesthetics and practicality. Made of Birdseye Maple wood, which has been stabilized to increase its resistance to moisture and mechanical damage. Each pair of grips features a unique grain pattern, making each piece one of a kind. The body is reinforced by steel liners and a full-length backspacer, which increase the rigidity of the structure. Thanks to the wire clip (tip-up) on both sides, the knife is fully ambidextrous, and the profile of the Handle provides a comfortable grip regardless of hand position.
