420 martensitic stainless steel rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, which offers high hardenability in the 54-56 HRC range as well as strength, toughness, machinability and excellent corrosion resistance.
The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds for wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools, knife blades and medical instruments.
Blade - with a drop point profile is distinguished by a pronounced belly at the tip and a descending back line. This geometry gives the design a technical look and is conducive to small, precise tasks - typical of a compact keychain tool. A black titanium-based coating enhances the model's aesthetics and reduces light reflections. The balisong's design is based on the rotating connection between the blade and the two-piece handle.
