This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
The Shark Cub Stealth Slicer Shark Artillery Gray Aluminum, Black DLC is a compact interpretation of one of the most recognizable utility knives of recent years - the AD20.5. Designed by Andrew Demko, a renowned maker of rugged tools, this knife offers surprising performance in a format ideal for everyday carry. Every detail of it has been optimized for durability, precision performance and comfort. Blade is made of CPM 20CV steel, providing exceptional edge retention and wear resistance. Thanks to its high flat grind, the design is perfect for cuts requiring accuracy and control. The black DLC coating gives the blade a professional, technical feel, and Ball bearings ensure a smooth opening. The user has an opening in the wedge, which allows intuitive opening with both right and left hands. The Handle is made of anodized aluminum, resistant to moisture and mechanical damage, and the profiling under the fingers and milling of the surface supports a stable grip even in demanding conditions. The whole is topped off with the innovative Shark-Lock™ lock, known for its reliability and strength. It's a design that perfectly matches the needs of users expecting a reliable premium EDC knife , ready for the challenges of everyday life and off-road excursions.
Andrew Demko - owner and founder of Demko Knives, first started forging chisels in 1988, when he was in seventh grade. He immediately realized it was his passion and began forging knives almost immediately. Like many blacksmiths, Andrew began his journey in the garage, honing blade shapes and sharpening them on a small grinder. Andrew's passion for engineering and attention to detail was noticed by the well-known Cold Steel company. At Cold Steel, Andrew developed some of the most innovative and powerful locking mechanisms in the industry. The legendary Tri-Ad Lock, Scorpion Lock, and most recently the one-handed operator's dream - the Shark-Lock.
CPM 20CV - one of the best tool steels, American premium martensitic stainless steel. Produced by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. Designed to provide improved wear resistance while maintaining corrosion resistance at the highest level. This super steel is comparable to Bohler's M390 steel or Carpenter's CTS-204P. According to some knife manufacturers, 20CV is the best of these three steels in terms of edge retention. It consists of 19.0% carbon (C), 20.0% chromium (Cr), 4.0% vanadium (V), 1.0% molybdenum (Mo) and 0.6% tungsten (W). The high percentage of chromium with a touch of molybdenum makes 20CV one of the best high-grade corrosion-resistant steels.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) durability of the blade surface is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry.
Blade - with spear point profile made of CPM 20CV powder steel, whose cutting properties, corrosion resistance and sharpness retention put it at the forefront of knife materials. The high flat grind enhances cutting ability in softer and harder materials, and the black DLC-coated surface effectively masks traces of use. The opening is supported by Ball bearings and a hole in the wedge, which ensures comfort and speed. A key element is the Shark-Lock™ lock, which combines safe operation with excellent overload resistance.
Handle grips - anodized aluminum grips offer durability and low weight, while their textured surface and beveled edges improve grip and comfort. Ergonomic finger cutouts support blade control during precision tasks. The model is equipped with a deep-carry clip, allowing discreet tip-up carry on the left or right side. Internal steel liners reinforce the overall design, and the open back design with spacer sleeves makes it easy to keep clean. This is a practical yet sophisticated tool for the most demanding EDC knife users.
