This premium folder is a tool for the discerning - designed for everyday use, but with an aesthetic that will also please collectors. Blade is made of Nitro-V steel, known for its high resistance to corrosion and maintenance of working sharpness. It uses a modified wharncliffe profile with a clearly defined cutting edge and a gently dropped tip - ideal for precision cuts and controlled movements. The two-tone finish - black stonewashed on the working surface and satin on the plane - gives the Blade a distinct, modern look. The Handle is made of textured G10 composite, which provides excellent grip even in harsh conditions. Gold liners and spacers add elegance, while ergonomic cutouts allow precise handling - even with gloves. The whole is complemented by a deep-carry clip, a lanyard hole and a Superlock locking mechanism for safety and wear resistance. Snecx Design Lab was established in 2015 to create the conceptual boltless knife IFS-20, making Snecx Tan a legend in the knife world.
Nitro-V stainless chrome-based martensitic knife steel introduced by New Jersey Steel Baron(NJSB). The manufacturer used the existing superior AEB-L knife steel and upgraded it with nitrogen and vanadium to improve edge performance and achieve high hardness and extreme corrosion resistance, especially crucial in the marine industry and humid environments. Nitro V can be used in diving knives because of its resistance to staining and corrosion. The recommended working hardness is between 58-62HRC, and it has very good impact strength compared to other steels. It is harder than stainless powder steels such as M390, Elmax and S35VN. Therefore, Nitro-V will be a good fit for knives that require good toughness.
