CPM MagnaCut - powder stainless steel manufactured using the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) process hardened to 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high content of vanadium 4.0% (V), molybdenum 2.0% (Mo) and niobium 2.0% (Nb) guarantees accuracy and purity unmatched by more “conventional” steels. Designed and developed specifically for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. With CPM MagnaCut succeeded in creating a steel that combines the unique properties of knife steels like no other. The result is a blade material that offers a remarkable balance of wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance. There is no other steel on the world market today that offers a comparable combination of superior properties. This unique steel is produced at Crucible® Industries' U.S. mills.

Ball Bearing-Lock, one of the strongest blade locking mechanisms. Hardened ball bearing housed in a black polymer basket in the open position pressed against the blade by a spring. Made in USA.

DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) durability of the blade's surface is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry.

Blade - Leaf-Shaped type (leaf shape), finished with elegant satin finish. Plain blade is derived with Full Flat Grind, which gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The blade offers extreme sharpness and unparalleled edge life. The SpyderHole round cutout (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened with a glove as well. Prominent Finger Choil - an arched undercut for the index finger and a notched thumb ramp on the back of the Blade increase control of the knife.

Handle - covered with non-slip textured G10 composite grips (durable, heat and cold, chemical resistant). The knife is equipped with a sturdy metal clip (left/right) that allows you to carry the knife in tip-up (tip up) position. Spine Jimping notches on the back of the handle increase comfort and grip security.

In the back of the handle an enlarged hole(lanyard hole) for pulling alanyard or safety line.
