400,21 €Stitch Ram-Lok S/E Tan Fluted G10, Stonewashed P/S is a manual version of a bold design for a versatile tactical knife, the result of collaboration between Sebastian Berenja and Microtech. The wide blade and simple, comfortable handle make for a powerful tactical knife, crafted with attention to the smallest details and using the best materials. A faithful companion that will never let you down.
Borka Blades (Sebastijan Berenji) is a very popular custom knife maker whose skills attract crowds of blade enthusiasts. Sebastijan was born and raised in Yugoslavia and became a US citizen in 2016. The company's name comes from his late mother, Borka. A few years after starting his career as a knifemaker, he designed a unique folding knife that attracted considerable interest among collectors and enthusiasts. Not only did he attract attention, but he also caught the interest of Microtech Knives CEO Anthony Marfione, who offered him a collaboration.
M390MK - thanks to the collaboration between Microtech and Böhler engineers, an exclusive version of M390 steel was created, made only for Microtech. The carbon content was increased and subjected to more thorough control, improving the properties of M390 steel to ensure better edge retention, corrosion resistance, and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it is characterized by exceptionally high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high wear resistance, it retains its edge shape, which means that the blade remains sharp for a very long time (requires minimal maintenance). Another advantage is its resistance to “wire” formation during sharpening. Steel with a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) with an admixture of 1.95% carbon (C), 4.0% vanadium (V), hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Ram-Lok™ (Crossbar Lock) - a crossbar moving horizontally in longitudinal cutouts in the steel side plates of the handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar overlaps the rear part of the blade from above, preventing it from moving back. This element is pressed by two springs. Unlocking occurs when the bar is pulled back; its ends are accessible thanks to notches in the linings on both sides of the handle. In the closed position, the bar presses against the cam surface at the rear of the blade, preventing it from opening on its own. The advantages of the Ram-Lok lock include high resistance to contamination, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of use with both the right and left hand, and light, smooth operation of the mechanism.
Blade - wide, S/E (Single Edge) Spear Point type, partially serrated. Finished with a stonewashed method, which gives the blade a slightly aged, satin-matte appearance and effectively masks minor scratches and marks caused during use. The gently curved cutting edge tapers to a needle-sharp tip. The solid thickness of the blade, combined with a flat grind, ensures excellent cutting properties while maintaining high durability. The long false edge on the spine further enhances the already excellent piercing properties of the blade. The knife is opened using a wide, oval thumb hole in the blade. For full control over the blade, there is a large, serrated finger hole at the bottom of the blade and upper jimping, i.e., a serrated thumb rest, on the spine of the blade. The whole thing is locked with a convenient Ram-Lok mechanism.
Handle - made on CNC milling machines with the highest precision, from G-10 composite, with a deeply milled, three-dimensional 3D Fluted structure. A wide lock slider with Microtech's characteristic stepped structure (X Button) ensures reliable and comfortable operation. The linings are connected with a solid aluminum backspacer. A double-sided (right/left) clip allows for discreet carrying of the knife in the tip-up position. The protruding part of the backspacer with a hole for a cord can also be used as an improvised glass breaker.
