Most of the action here is in the blade line itself. The 14C28N steel blade has a tanto point profile, giving the tip a distinctly strong, decisive character. 14C28N - martensitic stainless chrome steel is the latest achievement in the range of knife steels produced by the Swedish steelworks Sandvik. Its optimized chemical composition with a unique combination ensures the highest quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness, and corrosion resistance. By reducing the carbon content to 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content to 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding 0.11% nitrogen (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Vacuum & Cryogenic - 14C28N steel has undergone a specialized heat treatment process involving two key stages. Vacuum Heat Treatment - the steel is hardened in a vacuum environment, which minimizes oxidation and ensures more uniform metal properties. This process increases the strength and structural integrity of the steel. Cryogenic Treatment: after heating, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -100°C (-148°F). This transformation converts residual austenite into martensite, significantly increasing hardness, wear resistance, and overall durability. Thanks to these advanced processes, 14C28N steel delivers exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and remarkable blade durability.

Blade - tanto point, but not overly massive. The blade line remains slim, and the break at the tip clearly enhances the character of the point. This arrangement works well where precision and reliable contact between the tip of the blade and the material are important. The character of the blade is technical, but not clumsy. The flat grind is responsible for the cutting method. This geometry allows for good working efficiency without unnecessarily expanding the cross-section. In practice, this means a blade that does not lose control during more precise tasks, while remaining versatile enough for everyday EDC work. The plain edge further reinforces this functional orientation. The beadblast finish gives the steel a matte, subdued surface that fits well with the modern style of the design. Jimping on the spine improves thumb support, and a longitudinal cutter in the upper part of the blade visually organizes the blade's shape. The screws used and the economical architecture of the grip work well with the technical language of the entire design. The set includes a Kydex sheath, which clearly emphasizes the everyday, urban-terrain character of the model. Its compact form and Tek-Lok attachment allow the Goliath to be carried discreetly and comfortably, without excess bulk. As a result, the entire set works as a modern compact fixed blade should: quickly, simply, and without elements that only complicate its use.
