JL Drop Point Fixie Red / Black G10, Beadblasted, a compact and extremely lightweight (weighing just 50g) EDC knife, is the creation of designer and knifemaker Justin Lundquist. Crafted from the highest-quality materials, this knife is not only practical but also elegant. The 14C28N stainless steel blade features a drop point shape, which is ideal for everyday tasks. This steel is known for its durability and sharpness, making this knife an extremely effective tool. The knife’s handle is made of G10 composite, which is not only durable but also provides a secure grip, even in the toughest conditions. It comes with a Kydex sheath, which is not only durable but also allows for safe storage and transport of the knife. The sheath features a belt clip, enabling easy and comfortable carrying of the knife.

Justin Lundquist—his fascination began when, at the age of just 4, he received his first knife from his mother. It was a small fixed-blade knife to complement his fishing gear and toolbox. Over the following years, he amassed a small collection of affordable mass-produced knives. He was always drawn to diverse shapes and designs, while maintaining the functionality of utility tools. After graduating with a degree in Fine Art Photography and working in the industry for over a decade, he stumbled upon the world of custom-made handmade knives. He gathered as much information as possible and began designing and crafting knives on his own. In 2013, he slowly began producing his own knives. He strives to create practical EDC knives with clean lines, shapes, and transitions. By blending classic and modern elements, he hopes to create designs that will stand the test of time.

14C28N - martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest achievement in the range of knife steels produced by the Swedish steelmaker Sandvik. Its optimized chemical composition, featuring a unique combination of elements, ensures the highest quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness, and corrosion resistance. By reducing the carbon content to 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content to 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding 0.11% nitrogen (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price/quality category!

Vacuum & Cryogenic - 14C28N steel undergoes a specialized heat treatment process comprising two key stages. During Vacuum Heat Treatment, the steel is hardened in a vacuum environment, which minimizes oxidation and ensures more uniform metal properties. This process increases the steel’s strength and structural integrity. Cryogenic Treatment: After heating, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -100°C (-148°F). This transformation converts residual austenite into martensite, significantly increasing hardness, wear resistance, and overall durability. Thanks to these advanced processes, 14C28N steel delivers exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and remarkable blade durability.

Blade - Drop Point style, finished with a beadblasted finish that effectively masks minor scratches caused during use. The long cutting edge with a slight bevel tapers toward the sharp tip of the blade. Blade thickness ensures high strength, while the full flat grind (Full Flat) provides excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. On the blade spine, there is upper jimping, a serrated thumb rest.

Handle - G10 plastic grips (glass fiber pressed under pressure with synthetic resin) with a slightly rough surface. The contoured shape ensures a comfortable, secure grip even with wet hands. The front finger groove is knurled to improve grip security. At the rear, there is a hole for a decorative or safety lanyard.

Sheath - made of Kydex, extended, protecting the blade along with part of the handle. Thanks to the Tek-Lok clip attached to it, the knife can be attached to a belt or gear in almost any way.
