Warning and Safety Information for the KnifeMore

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.

Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.

A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.

When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.

Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.

Caiman Tan G10, Satin is a refined utility folding knife designed by Maksim Epifantsev, combining the lightness of an everyday carry (EDC) knife with features useful for outdoor applications. From the very first glance, the model’s sleek, dynamic silhouette and distinctive blade profile catch the eye, giving the knife a more technical and decidedly functional character. The design was developed with universal use in mind—from everyday tasks, through outdoor excursions, to more precise tasks requiring good tip control. The clip point profile, combined with a concave grind, ensures highly efficient cutting performance and high effectiveness for precision cuts. The use of San Mai M2 steel clearly sets this model apart from classic EDC folders, offering more advanced material properties and excellent edge retention. Working comfort is enhanced by the G10 composite handle, which provides a stable grip and high resistance to daily wear and tear. The slender knife body fits naturally in the hand, and the crossbar lock ensures quick, intuitive opening and safe one-handed closing. The Caiman is designed for users seeking a lightweight, technically refined premium folder that works equally well as an EDC knife and a versatile outdoor tool.

Kubey—an independent brand and one of the largest manufacturers producing high-quality knives at great prices! The company’s motto is “An Edge Above the Rest” / “The edge comes first.” Thanks to the use of high-speed CNC machines, milling machines, laser cutting, and custom hand finishing, the brand focuses on high-quality craftsmanship and an innovative approach to design. Kubey stands for legendary durability and functionality in knives that will serve you for years!

San Mai is a special, three-layer blade construction in which the hard core forming the cutting edge is “wrapped” in two more flexible layers of steel. This combination allows for excellent sharpness and long-lasting edge retention, while also providing greater resistance to chipping and damage compared to a classic blade made from a single type of steel. This solution, derived from Japanese blacksmithing traditions, is valued both for its functional properties and for the distinctive pattern visible on the blade where the core meets the outer layers.

Vacuum & Cryogenic - the steel undergoes a specialized heat treatment process comprising two key stages. Vacuum Heat Treatment involves heating the steel in a vacuum environment, which minimizes oxidation and ensures more uniform metal properties. This process increases the steel’s strength and structural integrity. Cryogenic Treatment: after heating, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -100°C (-148°F). This transformation converts residual austenite into martensite, significantly increasing hardness, wear resistance, and overall durability. Thanks to these advanced processes, the steel delivers exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and remarkable blade durability.Blackwashed - a blade finishing method that combines two techniques. Black Coating - a protective, non-reflective black coating. Stonewashed - after the coating is applied, the blade undergoes a process that gives it a slightly aged, satin-matte appearance and effectively masks minor scratches and marks caused by use. The final result is a unique, aged look with a matte, dark finish that is both stylish and practical. It is a more aesthetic variant of the classic black stonewashed.

Blade - featuring a clip point profile, which combines precision with the versatility of everyday use. The lowered spine line leads to a clearly defined, controlled tip, making the blade ideal for scoring, detailed work, and tasks requiring high precision. The concave grind ensures aggressive cutting characteristics and excellent material penetration. This type of geometry works particularly well for cutting ropes, cardboard, plastics, and textiles, offering smooth blade entry and low cutting resistance. The satin finish gives the blade an elegant, technical look and highlights the blade geometry. Safety is ensured by the crossbar lock, which provides stable blade locking and convenient, two-handed operation.

Handle - made of G10 composite, a material valued for its high mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and excellent performance characteristics. The subtle surface texture improves grip and enhances control over the knife during use. The slightly curved grip line fits very naturally in the hand, supporting comfort during both light EDC tasks and extended use in the field. Internal steel liners increase the rigidity of the entire construction, while the phosphor bronze washers ensure smooth blade operation and high durability of the mechanism. The tip-up clip, which can be mounted on either the left or right side, enhances everyday carry functionality and allows you to adapt the knife to your preferred usage style. The result is a lightweight, practical, and highly functional handle—perfectly suited to the character of an EDC knife.
