Noctar Orange G10, Black PVD / Satin is a refined folding knife designed by Grzegorz “Kombou” Grabarski with a clear emphasis on ergonomics, smooth operation, and versatility for everyday use. 14C28N - martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest achievement in the range of knife steels produced by the Swedish steelworks Sandvik. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination ensures the highest quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness, and corrosion resistance. By reducing the carbon content to 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content to 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding 0.11% nitrogen (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price/quality category!

Bar Lock (Crossbar Lock) - a crossbar that moves horizontally within longitudinal slots in the steel side plates of the handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar engages from above with the rear part of the blade, preventing it from moving back. This bar is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking occurs by pulling the locking bar backward; its ends are accessible through cutouts in the side plates of the handle. In the closed position, the bar presses against the cam surface at the rear of the blade, preventing it from opening spontaneously. The advantages of the B-Lock mechanism include resistance to contamination, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of operation with both the right and left hand, and smooth operation.

PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) - the surface hardness of the blade and cutting edge has been enhanced using a vacuum deposition method applied to deposit thin layers by condensing the vaporized form of the desired material onto the surface of the workpiece. The coating method involves a purely physical process, such as high-temperature vacuum evaporation followed by condensation. The applied coating has very high hardness, which significantly increases the blade’s resistance to rust and abrasive wear.

Blade - with a drop point profile. The gently sloping spine and wide cutting edge ensure high versatility of use. This profile is ideal for everyday tasks, offering excellent blade control and efficient cutting. The flat grind ensures smooth entry into the material and high efficiency when cutting cardboard, paper, tape, plastics, and textiles. The flat-geometry grind improves cutting performance and maintains a good balance between cutting aggressiveness and blade durability. The two-tone finish—a black PVD coating on the ground edges and a satin finish on the rest of the blade—highlights the blade’s profile and gives the model an elegant, technical character. Additionally, the large opening in the blade serves as a convenient opening point, improving one-handed operation speed. The bar lock mechanism enhances safety and allows for quick, smooth blade closure without changing your grip.

Handle - made of G10 composite, a material valued for its high mechanical resistance, dimensional stability, and excellent grip. The subtle surface texture improves control over the knife even with a damp hand or when working with gloves. The ergonomic profile of the handle deserves special attention. A distinct notch for the index finger and the arched line of the rear grip ensure the knife fits very well in the hand. This geometry improves safety and precision during prolonged use. The construction is exceptionally stable and well-balanced. The slim form does not compromise carrying comfort, while ensuring a secure grip during more decisive cuts. The design is complemented by a steel deep carry clip, which allows for discreet and comfortable carrying of the knife deep in the pocket. Thanks to this, the Noctar remains a practical tool for everyday carry, while retaining the distinct premium character of the entire design.
