The Microtech Marfione Select Bee Gray Titanium, Blue HW, Stonewashed F/S 440C by Bastinelli (218-12MS3) is a compact fixed-blade knife with a blade developed jointly by Microtech and Bastinelli Knives. This variant features a gray titanium handle, blue titanium mounting components, and a fully serrated 440C steel blade with a Stonewashed finish.
The Bee combines a compact push dagger design with a matching Kydex sheath. Pull-the-Dot strips facilitate sheath attachment, and friction retention keeps the blade securely inside the sheath. The Signature Series and Bastinelli markings on opposite sides of the blade highlight the character of the Marfione Select collector’s line.
440C and Full Serration
The blade is made of 440C stainless steel, which offers good corrosion resistance and low-maintenance care. The Full Serrated edge effectively cuts through ropes, straps, belts, and other materials, with the successive serrations gradually severing the fibers.
Modified Wharncliffe / Hawkbill and Stonewashed
This profile, which combines features of the Modified Wharncliffe and Hawkbill, has a curved edge line that helps control the material being cut. The Stonewashed finish minimizes the appearance of minor wear marks and complements the gray titanium handle.
Gray Titanium and Blue Hardware
The titanium handle provides rigidity, moisture resistance, and light weight. The gray finish is complemented by blue titanium hardware, which adds a contrasting touch to the design. A custom-fit Kydex sheath fully covers the serrated edge during carry.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I maintain 440C steel?
After use, remove any dirt, dry the blade, and periodically apply a thin layer of maintenance oil. Pay special attention to the grooves between the serrations.
How do you properly sharpen the serrations?
Each notch should be sharpened separately using a ceramic rod that matches its diameter. On the other side of the edge, remove only the resulting burr without creating an additional bevel.
How do you clean the gray titanium handle?
All you need for cleaning is a soft cloth and water with a mild detergent. Avoid polishing pastes and abrasive sponges, which could alter the appearance of the gray finish.
How do I safely insert the knife into the Kydex sheath?
Align the blade with the profile of the sheath’s interior and slide it in smoothly until it is fully seated. Keep your fingers outside the line of the fully serrated edge.
How to care for Stonewashed?
Simply clean and dry the surface regularly. The finish effectively masks minor signs of wear, but it does not protect the steel from prolonged exposure to moisture.
