Warning and Safety Information for the KnifeMore

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.

Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.

A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.

When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.

Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.

Kizer Quoll Silver Titanium / Rainbow Damascus, Satin Brushed Crucible CPM S45VN by Ben Taubert – a compact premium folding knife with a modular inlay

Kizer Quoll Ki3733A1 is a compact folding knife designed by Ben Taubert, combining a Drop Point blade, Crucible CPM S45VN steel, and a silver titanium handle with a multicolored Rainbow Damascus inlay. Its slim profile, 84 g weight, and 74.96 mm blade length make it ideal for everyday carry.

The model features a Thumb Disk or Front Flipper opening mechanism, a Frame Lock, and Ball bearings that ensure smooth operation of the mechanism. The modular inlay can be swapped out for other versions designed for the Quoll model, allowing you to change the Handle’s appearance without replacing the entire knife.

Crucible CPM S45VN – powder steel for Premium EDC

The blade is made of Crucible CPM S45VN steel with a hardness of 60–61 HRC. This is a stainless powder steel that combines good corrosion resistance, cutting edge stability, and practical performance characteristics. After use, it’s a good idea to clean the blade and dry it thoroughly.

Drop Point, Flat, and Satin Brushed

The Drop Point profile provides a versatile geometry for opening packages, cutting cardboard, tape, cord, and other everyday materials. Flat grind facilitates smooth blade guidance, while the Satin Brushed finish gives the blade an elegant, brushed appearance.

Silver Titanium, Rainbow Damascus, and Frame Lock

The handle is made of Silver-colored titanium and features a Rainbow Damascus inlay. The Frame Lock stabilizes the blade when open, and the enlarged access to the lock bar makes it easier to release the mechanism. Jimping on the spine and Thumb Disk enhances control during use, while the 3D titanium clip allows for right-side carry in a tip-up configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I care for and sharpen Crucible CPM S45VN steel?

After use, clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. Diamond stones, high-quality ceramic, or a sharpening guide work well for sharpening CPM S45VN.

How does the Frame Lock work?

The Frame Lock uses a part of the titanium handle frame that slides under the blade when the knife is opened. Increased access to the lock bar makes it easier to release the lock when folding the knife.

What is the modular Rainbow Damascus inlay?

Rainbow Damascus is a multicolored decorative element embedded in the titanium handle. Its modular design allows it to be replaced with another inlay designed for the Quoll model.

What are the Thumb Disk and Front Flipper used for?

The Thumb Disk allows you to open the blade with your thumb, while the Front Flipper lets you initiate the opening motion from the top of the Handle. Jimping on both elements improves finger contact with the mechanism.

What does a tip-up clip mean?

A tip-up configuration means that when the knife is closed, the tip of the blade points upward. On this model, the 3D titanium clip is located on the right side and is non-reversible.
