Warning and Safety Information for the KnifeMore

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.

Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.

A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.

When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.

Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.

Kizer Dodo Karambit Purple PC, Black PVD Nitro-V by Giedymin – a folding EDC karambit with a PC handle

The Kizer Dodo Karambit V2702A2 is a folding EDC knife designed by Giedymin Kapuściński, which brings the essence of a karambit to a compact folder with a Liner Lock. The curved blade, featuring a Modified Karambit design, a black PVD finish, and a purple PC handle, creates a model with a distinctive, modern aesthetic.

The Dodo Karambit offers two opening methods: a hole in the blade and a flipper. The design is complemented by a finger ring, multi-point jimping, and a tip-up clip. As a result, the knife successfully combines an unconventional form with practical features useful for everyday carry.

Nitro-V with a black PVD finish

Nitro-V stainless steel, with a hardness of 60–61 HRC, provides good corrosion resistance, easy sharpening, and practical sharpness for everyday tasks. The black Black PVD finish gives the blade a technical look and contrasts nicely with the purple handle.

Modified Karambit and Recurve Cleaver

The Modified Karambit blade features a curved edge that facilitates controlled cutting of materials such as tape, cord, packaging, and cardboard. The flat grind facilitates smooth blade guidance, and the compact blade length suits the nature of an EDC folder well.

Purple PC, Liner Lock, and Jimping

The handle is made of purple PC, a lightweight and rigid polycarbonate material. The milled surface, jimping on the spine, and finger ring help provide better grip control. The Liner Lock stabilizes the blade when open, and Ball bearings ensure smoother operation of the mechanism.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I care for Nitro-V steel?

After use, clean the blade of any dirt and dry it with a soft cloth. Regular light sharpening helps maintain a sharp cutting edge.

How does the Liner Lock work?

The Liner Lock locks the blade in the open position using a spring-loaded steel inlay. To close the knife, slide the liner back and carefully close the blade.

What is the PC in the handle?

PC stands for polycarbonate, an engineering plastic that is lightweight and highly rigid. In this version, it is used in the distinctive purple handle.

What is the finger ring used for?

The ring can increase control over the knife, especially during shorter, guided cuts. It also helps stabilize your grip more securely.

What does “tip-up clip” mean?

“Tip-up” means that when the knife is closed, the tip of the blade points upward. In this version, the clip is located on the right side.
