0,00 €This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
Mac Coltellerie Aquatys 2 Black PP-TPE, IDROGLIDER GOLD® Black Stainless Steel W 1.4116 – diving knife with integrated hammer
Mac Coltellerie Aquatys 2 Black PP-TPE, IDROGLIDER GOLD® Black Stainless Steel W 1.4116 (AQT12-2.N) is a fixed-blade diving knife designed for cutting ropes, nets, straps, and other materials that may restrict freedom of movement underwater. It features a Drop Point blade, a smooth and serrated Three-Step edge, a PP-TPE handle, and a black ABS sheath with mounting straps.
The rubber-like TPE grip enhances control in wet hands and when wearing diving gloves. At the end of the handle is a steel hammer for emergency and signaling purposes. The sheath can be attached to the arm, leg, or a suitable part of a diving vest.
Stainless Steel W 1.4116 – easy maintenance and corrosion resistance
The blade is made of W 1.4116 stainless steel with a hardness of 55–56 HRC. This material provides good corrosion resistance, easy sharpening, and properties suitable for a tool used in an aquatic environment. After contact with seawater, the knife should be rinsed with fresh water and thoroughly dried.
Drop Point, Flat, and Three-Step Serration
The Drop Point profile provides a functional tip and versatile working geometry. The Flat grind supports smooth blade glide, while the combination of a smooth and serrated edge expands the range of applications. The Three-Step serration makes it easier to cut through ropes, straps, nets, webbing, and thick fibrous materials.
IDROGLIDER GOLD® Black and PP-TPE handle
The black IDROGLIDER GOLD® coating reduces glare and creates an additional barrier between the steel and the environment. The handle features a rigid PP core and a TPE overlay that improves grip and control of the knife while working underwater. The black ABS sheath has holes to facilitate water drainage and a safety system that prevents the knife from accidentally sliding out.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for 1.4116 steel after diving in saltwater?
After use, the knife, sheath, and straps should be thoroughly rinsed with fresh water. The blade must be dried before storage, and periodically you can protect it with a thin layer of a suitable preservative.
What is the Three-Step serration used for?
The serrated portion of the blade makes it easier to cut through ropes, nets, straps, belts, and other fibrous materials. The smooth edge is better suited for more controlled and precise cuts.
What are the advantages of the IDROGLIDER GOLD® Black coating?
The black coating reduces glare, gives the blade a technical look, and creates an additional barrier between the steel and the environment. However, it does not replace rinsing and drying the knife after contact with seawater.
How do you attach the Aquatys 2 sheath?
Two rubber straps with plastic buckles allow you to attach the sheath to your arm or leg. It can also be attached to a properly prepared component of a diving vest.
How do you clean the PP-TPE handle?
The handle can be washed with water, a mild detergent, and a soft brush. After removing salt, sand, and deposits, rinse it thoroughly and let it dry.
