The Maserin Frontier 634/MCV Green Micarta, Stonewashed Nitro X7 folding knife is a versatile EDC folder combining a Nitro X7 steel Drop Point blade, a Crossbar Lock, and green Micarta grips. A double-sided thumb stud, a reversible tip-up clip, and its lightweight design ensure comfortable handling during everyday use and field work.
The crossbar lock can be operated from either side of the handle, making the design suitable for both right- and left-handed users. A lanyard hole allows you to further secure the knife or attach a lanyard to make it easier to remove from your pocket.
Nitro X7 – Stainless Steel for Everyday Use
The blade is made of Nitro X7 stainless steel with a hardness of 61–62 HRC. This material provides good corrosion resistance, edge retention, and properties suitable for regular EDC tasks. The knife performs well when cutting cardboard, cord, packaging, plastics, and materials used in the field.
Drop Point and Stonewashed Finish
The Drop Point profile offers a versatile cutting edge and a functionally shaped tip. The smooth Plain Edge promotes precise cutting, while the Stonewashed finish helps minimize the appearance of minor scratches, scuffs, and signs of everyday use.
Green Micarta and Ambidextrous Design
The green Micarta grips have a fibrous, layered structure and provide a secure grip. Over time, the material may develop a unique patina, allowing the handle’s appearance to gradually adapt to how the knife is used.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Nitro X7 steel?
After use, clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. Although it offers good corrosion resistance, it’s important to remove moisture, salt, dirt, and food residue from the blade and periodically treat the surface with a suitable product.
How do I sharpen a Nitro X7 steel blade?
You can use ceramic or diamond sharpening stones, or a sharpening guide system. The most important thing is to maintain a consistent angle and guide the blade evenly along the entire length of the edge.
How does the Crossbar Lock work?
A crossbar locks the blade in place once it is opened. Pulling the element on both sides of the Handle releases the blade and allows you to fold it without placing your fingers in the blade’s path.
How do you care for a Micarta handle?
Micarta can be cleaned with a soft brush, water, and mild detergent. After washing, the handle should be thoroughly dried. The material may darken over time and develop a natural patina.
How do I move the clip to the other side?
Unscrew the screws securing the clip, move it to the prepared holes on the opposite side of the Handle, and tighten evenly. The design maintains the tip-up position on both sides.
