Microtech Dirac Delta D/E Signature Gold Camo Aluminum, Gold Camo Böhler M390MK by Tony Marfione (227-1GCS-Z4) is a full-size OTF automatic knife from the Signature Series. It features a double-edged D/E blade, Böhler M390MK steel, an aluminum frame, and a Gold Camo pattern covering the blade and Handle.
The D/A OTF mechanism extends and retracts the blade using a centrally located slider. This control position facilitates both right- and left-handed operation, and the reversible tip-down clip allows you to adjust the carrying side. The design is complemented by an integral glass breaker.
Böhler M390MK – Powder Steel for Demanding Use
The blade is made of Böhler M390MK steel with a hardness of 61–62 HRC. The material is characterized by high abrasion resistance, good corrosion resistance, and the ability to retain its sharpness for a long time. It performs well when regularly cutting cardboard, ropes, tapes, and synthetic materials.
D/E Dagger, Double Edge, and Flat grind
The D/E Dagger, Double Edge profile features a symmetrical tip and two smooth cutting edges. The Flat grind supports stable blade guidance, while the Gold Camo finish gives the blade a distinctive color scheme that matches the aluminum body.
Gold Camo Aluminum and Central Control Mechanism
The handle is made of 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a Gold Camo pattern. The slim body and centrally located slide make it easy to control the automatic mechanism, and the full-size Dirac Delta proportions provide a comfortable grip.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for and sharpen Böhler M390MK steel?
After use, clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. For sharpening, it is best to use diamond stones, CBN systems, or a precision guide system that helps maintain a consistent angle.
How does the D/A OTF mechanism work?
The D/A OTF mechanism extends and retracts the blade using the same slide. Pushing it forward automatically extends the blade, while moving it in the opposite direction retracts the blade into the handle.
What makes the centrally located slide stand out?
The slide is located on a wide surface of the Handle, allowing it to be comfortably operated with the thumb of either the right or left hand. This design is characteristic of the Dirac series.
What does the D/E blade mean?
D/E stands for Double Edge, meaning a blade with two functional cutting edges. The symmetrical dagger-type profile ensures a centrally aligned tip.
Does the knife have a glass breaker?
Yes. The glass breaker is an integral part of the design and enhances the knife’s functionality in emergency situations.
