The Microtech Stitch Ram-Lok S/E Marfione Select Livewire Carbon Fiber, DLC Titanium HW, DLC Stonewashed M390MK folding knife by Borka Blades and Tony Marfione (169RL-1DLCTMS1) is a full-size premium folding knife that combines the distinctive Stitch blade made of Böhler M390MK steel, a Livewire carbon fiber handle, and a RAM-LOK® lock. The Marfione Select variant features DLC-coated titanium accents, DLC Double Vapor Blast steel hardware, and a DLC Stonewashed-finished blade.
Thumb studs on both sides allow for manual opening with either the right or left hand, and the reversible clip enables tip-up carry on either side of the handle. The dynamic Livewire Carbon Fiber pattern gives each knife a distinctive look that changes depending on the angle of the light.
Böhler M390MK and flat grind
The blade is made of Böhler M390MK stainless steel, developed specifically for Microtech knives. The material offers high corrosion resistance, good edge retention, and properties suitable for a heavily used premium folding knife. The Flat grind promotes effective and controlled cutting.
Modified Wharncliffe and DLC Stonewashed
The distinctive blade features a Modified Wharncliffe profile with a wide spine, a lowered tip, and a smooth Plain Edge. The DLC Stonewashed finish combines a dark DLC coating with a functional Stonewashed texture that helps minimize the appearance of fine scratches and scuffs.
Livewire Carbon Fiber, RAM-LOK®, and titanium accents
The handle is made of Livewire Carbon Fiber with a dynamic fiber pattern. The RAM-LOK® lock allows for ambidextrous operation and stabilizes the blade when open. The titanium backspacer and other accents are coated with DLC, while the steel hardware features a DLC Double Vapor Blast finish.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Böhler M390MK steel?
After use, clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. Despite its high corrosion resistance, do not allow moisture, salt, or corrosive substances to remain on it. Before long-term storage, you can apply a thin layer of preservative.
How to sharpen a Modified Wharncliffe blade?
Guide the edge evenly while maintaining a consistent sharpening angle. Near the lowered tip, reduce pressure and follow the factory geometry to avoid rounding the tip or altering the blade’s profile.
How does the RAM-LOK® lock work?
RAM-LOK® uses a transversely sliding element that stabilizes the blade when open. The mechanism can be operated from both sides of the handle, making the knife easy to use for both right- and left-handed people.
How do I care for the Livewire Carbon Fiber handle?
Clean the carbon fiber with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it thoroughly. Do not use harsh abrasives or polishing compounds, as these could alter the appearance of the surface and the dynamic Livewire pattern.
How do I care for DLC-coated parts?
DLC-coated components are best cleaned with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid polishing compounds and harsh abrasives, as they may alter the character of the DLC Stonewashed and DLC Double Vapor Blast finishes.
