The Microtech Exocet II D/E Orange Aluminum, Stonewashed M390MK OTF automatic knife by Tony Marfione (1157-10OR) is a compact double-action automatic knife featuring a symmetrical, double-edged Dagger blade, an orange 6061-T6 aluminum frame, and a wide clip that can double as a bill clip. The construction utilizes Böhler M390MK steel and a Stonewashed finish.
The 58.42 mm-long blade has two smooth cutting edges and a centrally positioned tip. The thumb slide automatically extends and retracts the blade, and the compact size makes it easy to carry around daily. A lanyard hole allows you to further secure the knife or attach a lanyard.
Böhler M390MK – precision free-cutting steel
The double-edged blade is made of Böhler M390MK stainless steel. This material offers high corrosion resistance, good edge durability, and properties tailored to the precision-engineered OTF design.
D/E Dagger, Flat Grind and Stonewashed
The symmetrical Dagger profile features two smooth Plain edges and a centrally located tip. The Flat grind ensures uniform blade surface geometry, while the Stonewashed finish gives the steel a factory-aged appearance and helps minimize the visibility of minor scratches and scuffs.
Orange Aluminum and Wide Money Clip
The orange 6061-T6 aluminum handle provides rigidity and durability for everyday use. The wide tip-down money clip can be used to secure the knife in a pocket or hold folded bills in place. The model has a lanyard hole but does not include a glass breaker.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Böhler M390MK steel?
After use, clean both edges of the blade and dry them thoroughly. Despite its high corrosion resistance, do not allow moisture, salt, or dirt to remain on them. Before long-term storage, you can apply a thin layer of preservative.
How to sharpen a D/E double-edged blade?
Each edge should be sharpened separately, maintaining its original angle and symmetry relative to the blade’s axis. The guided sharpening system makes it easier to maintain uniform geometry on both sides.
How do you operate the double-action OTF mechanism?
Pushing the slide forward automatically extends the blade, while pulling it back retracts the blade into the handle. The mechanism should be activated with a full, decisive motion of the slide.
How do you use the bill clip?
Folded bills can be placed between the wide clip and the Handle surface. Make sure they are held securely and do not obstruct access to the OTF mechanism’s slide.
How do you clean the inside of an OTF pistol?
The blade opening and the area around the slide should be regularly cleaned of dust, lint, and fine debris. A small amount of a suitable lubricant can be applied to the mechanism, taking care to avoid excess that attracts dust.
