The Microtech LUDT Ram-Lok T/E Black Frag Aluminum, Stonewashed M390MK folding knife by Tony Marfione (1136RL-10FR) is a premium manual folding knife featuring a Tanto blade made of Böhler M390MK steel, a RAM-LOK® lock, and an aluminum handle with a milled “Frag” pattern. The stonewashed finish gives the blade a subdued look and minimizes the appearance of minor scratches and scuffs.
Thumb studs on both sides allow for comfortable opening with either the right or left hand, and a reversible steel clip lets you carry the tip-up folder on either side of the handle. Ball bearings ensure smooth operation of the mechanism, while standard Torx screws facilitate proper maintenance of the construction.
Böhler M390MK – Durable Stainless Steel
The blade is made of Böhler M390MK stainless steel, developed specifically for Microtech knives. The material offers high corrosion resistance, good edge retention, and properties suitable for a premium utility folder.
Tanto, Flat, and Stonewashed
The Tanto profile features a clearly defined transition between the main cutting edge and the tip of the blade. This geometry ensures a strong tip and good support during precision work. The Flat grind promotes efficient cutting, while the Stonewashed finish helps mask minor signs of wear. The longitudinal fuller reinforces the technical character of the blade.
Black Frag Aluminum and RAM-LOK®
The handle is made of 6061-T6 aluminum with a black finish. The milled “Frag” pattern improves grip, control, and the ergonomics of the handle. The RAM-LOK® lock is operable from both sides and stabilizes the blade when fully opened.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Böhler M390MK steel?
After use, clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. Despite its high corrosion resistance, do not allow moisture, salt, or corrosive substances to remain on it. Before long-term storage, you can apply a thin layer of preservative.
How to sharpen a Tanto blade?
Each section of the edge should be sharpened separately, maintaining a distinct transition between the main and front parts of the blade. Do not guide the tool in a single rounded motion through the break point, as this may alter the geometry of the profile.
How does the RAM-LOK® lock work?
RAM-LOK® uses a transversely sliding element that stabilizes the blade in the open position. The mechanism can be operated from both sides of the handle, making the knife easy to use for both right- and left-handed people.
How do I care for the Frag aluminum handle?
Clean the handle with a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth, paying attention to the recesses of the milled pattern. Do not use harsh abrasives that could damage the surface finish.
How do I maintain the ball-bearing axle?
The area around the pivot should be regularly cleaned of dust and fine debris. After cleaning, you can apply a small amount of a light lubricant designed for knife mechanisms, avoiding excess that attracts dust.
