The Microtech LUDT Ram-Lok S/E Black Frag Aluminum, Apocalyptic M390MK folding knife by Tony Marfione (1135RL-10APFR) is a premium manual folding knife combining a Drop Point blade made of Böhler M390MK steel, a RAM-LOK® lock, and an aluminum handle with a milled “Frag” pattern. The Apocalyptic finish gives the knife a rugged, utilitarian look and minimizes the visibility of minor scratches that occur during everyday carry.
Thumb studs on both sides allow for comfortable opening with either the right or left hand, and the reversible clip enables tip-up carry on either side of the handle. The ball-bearing pivot ensures smooth blade movement, while standard Torx screws facilitate proper maintenance of the construction.
Böhler M390MK – Premium-Class Folding Knife Steel
The blade is made of Böhler M390MK stainless steel, developed specifically for Microtech knives. The material offers high corrosion resistance, good edge retention, and properties suitable for a heavily used EDC knife.
Drop Point, Flat Grind, and Apocalyptic Finish
The Drop Point profile features a gently sloping spine, a sturdy tip, and a rounded belly, making it well-suited for general-purpose cutting tasks. The Flat grind promotes efficient cutting, while the Apocalyptic finish gives the surface a raw, utilitarian look. The longitudinal fuller emphasizes the blade’s technical character.
Black Frag Aluminum and RAM-LOK® Lock
The handle is made of 6061-T6 aluminum with a black finish. The milled “Frag” pattern increases the number of contact points with the hand, improving grip, control, and ergonomics. The RAM-LOK® lock allows the mechanism to be operated from either side of the handle and stabilizes the blade in the working position.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Böhler M390MK steel?
After use, clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. Despite its high corrosion resistance, do not allow moisture, salt, or corrosive substances to remain on it. Before long-term storage, you can apply a thin layer of preservative.
How to sharpen a Drop Point blade?
Guide the edge evenly while maintaining a consistent sharpening angle. Near the rounded belly and tip, gradually rotate the knife to preserve the factory profile geometry.
How does the RAM-LOK® lock work?
RAM-LOK® uses a crosswise-sliding element that stabilizes the blade when open. The mechanism can be operated from both sides of the handle, making the knife easy to use for both right- and left-handed people.
How do I care for the Frag aluminum handle?
Clean the handle with a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth, paying attention to the recesses of the milled pattern. Do not use harsh abrasives that could damage the surface finish.
How do I maintain the ball-bearing axle?
The area around the pivot should be regularly cleaned of dust and fine debris. After cleaning, you can apply a small amount of a light lubricant designed for knife mechanisms, avoiding excess that attracts dust.
