The Microtech MSI Ram-Lok Mini S/E Tan Fluted Aluminum, Stonewashed M390MK folding knife by Tony Marfione (210M-10FLTA) is a compact folding knife featuring a Modified Sheepsfoot blade made of Böhler M390MK steel, a RAM-LOK® lock, and a Tan-colored 6061-T6 aluminum handle. The fluted finish improves grip, while the stonewashed finish gives the blade a subdued, utilitarian look.
Thumb studs on both sides allow for comfortable opening of the knife with either the right or left hand. A ball-bearing pivot ensures smooth blade operation, while the reversible deep-carry clip allows for tip-up carry on either side of the handle.
Böhler M390MK and Flat Grind
The blade is made of Böhler M390MK stainless steel, which offers high corrosion resistance and good edge retention. The Flat grind promotes effective cutting and maintains the stability of the wide blade.
Modified Sheepsfoot and Stonewashed
The Modified Sheepsfoot profile features a lowered tip and a long section of Plain Edge. The geometry supports precise and controlled cutting, while the Stonewashed finish helps mask some of the minor signs of everyday use.
Tan Fluted Aluminum and RAM-LOK®
The handle is made of 6061-T6 aluminum in Tan. The milled Fluted pattern improves grip, control, and the ergonomics of the handle. The RAM-LOK® lock stabilizes the blade when open and allows for comfortable operation from both sides of the handle.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Böhler M390MK steel?
After use, clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. Before long-term storage, you can apply a thin layer of preservative.
How do I sharpen a Modified Sheepsfoot blade?
Sharpen the edge at a consistent angle, following its factory-set profile. Near the lowered tip, it’s best to reduce pressure to avoid altering the profile’s geometry.
How does the RAM-LOK® lock work?
RAM-LOK® uses a laterally sliding component that locks the blade when opened. The mechanism can be conveniently operated from either side of the handle.
How do I clean the Tan Fluted handle?
The handle can be cleaned with a soft brush and mild detergent. The milled recesses should be thoroughly rinsed and dried.
How to maintain the ball-bearing pivot?
The area around the pivot should be regularly cleaned of dust and small debris. After cleaning, you can apply a small amount of a light lubricant designed for knife mechanisms.
