The Remette Cosmic Black G10, Black Titanium Plating 14C28N folding knife (RTCO-GB) is a compact EDC folder featuring a Drop Point blade made of Sandvik 14C28N steel and a milled black G10 handle. The Black Titanium Plating finish gives the blade a technical, understated look and complements the dark color scheme of the entire design.
The model features a Button + Liner Lock mechanism and ceramic ball bearings in the guide bushing. The blade can be opened using thumb studs on both sides or the front flipper, and a right-side steel clip allows the knife to be carried in a tip-up configuration.
Sandvik 14C28N and a flat grind
The blade is made of Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, valued for its good corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening, and properties suitable for everyday use. The Flat grind provides a functional geometry that performs well during precise and controlled cutting.
Drop Point and Black Titanium Plating
The Drop Point profile combines a well-supported tip with a functional cutting edge and a smooth Plain Edge. The Black Titanium Plating finish gives the blade surface a uniform, dark appearance and emphasizes the modern styling of the Cosmic model.
Black G10, Button + Liner Lock, and Ceramic Bearings
The handle is made of CNC-milled black G10. This material performs well in everyday use thanks to its low susceptibility to moisture and dimensional stability. The Button + Liner Lock mechanism combines convenient button operation with a mechanical blade lock, while ceramic bearings ensure smooth pivot movement.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Sandvik 14C28N steel?
After use, clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. 14C28N steel has good corrosion resistance, but it’s a good idea to apply a thin layer of preservative before long-term storage.
How do you sharpen a Drop Point blade?
Sharpen the edge at a constant angle, guiding the tool along the curve of the blade. Near the tip, it’s best to reduce pressure to preserve the blade’s factory profile.
How does the Button + Liner Lock work?
The mechanism uses a button to operate the lock and a liner that mechanically secures the blade when fully open. Before use, make sure the blade is properly locked.
How do you clean a G10 handle?
It’s best to clean the handle with a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth. For heavier dirt, you can use a mild detergent, then thoroughly dry the surface and the area around the mechanism.
How to maintain ceramic ball bearings?
The area around the pivot should be regularly cleaned of dust and small particles of dirt. After cleaning, you can apply a small amount of a light lubricant designed for knife mechanisms.
