The Fox Gabi Black G10, Black PVD Niolox folding knife (FX-451) combines a Niolox steel Drop Point blade with a lightweight black G10 handle. Manual opening via a thumb stud and the Crossbar Lock create a simple, ambidextrous design intended for everyday tasks.
The blade is protected by a Black Top Shield® coating, and the handle is complemented by black anodized lock components and standoffs. A repositionable AISI 420 steel clip with a Black Idroglider finish allows for tip-up carry on either side of the handle.
Niolox 59–61 HRC and Flat
Niolox steel, hardened to 59–61 HRC, provides a good balance between edge durability, corrosion resistance, and ease of subsequent sharpening. The Flat grind supports the knife’s versatile use.
Drop Point and Black Top Shield®
The Drop Point profile offers a strong tip and a functional blade spine. The Black Top Shield® coating gives the blade a dark finish and creates a cohesive look with the black handle.
Black G10 and Crossbar Lock
The G10 grips provide good resistance to moisture and the rigors of everyday use. The Crossbar Lock can be conveniently operated from either side, and the thumb stud allows you to manually open the blade with one hand.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Niolox steel?
It’s a good idea to clean and dry the blade regularly after use. For long-term storage, you can apply a thin layer of a suitable preservative.
How do I sharpen a Drop Point?
Maintain a consistent angle along the entire edge and guide the tool smoothly, especially around the rounded belly and the tip.
How does the Crossbar Lock work?
The crossbar locks the blade in place when it is opened, and pulling it back releases the mechanism, allowing the knife to be folded.
How do you clean G10?
G10 can be cleaned with a soft brush or a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dried thoroughly.
How do you maintain the pivot?
It’s a good idea to keep the pivot clean and periodically apply a small amount of light lubricant.
