The Sencut Quirk S25099-2 is a manual EDC folder with a more subdued, dark aesthetic. The black Clip Point blade made of D2 steel is paired with a G10 handle in Black and Gray and black internal components.
The flipper and thumb stud provide two independent ways to open the knife manually, while ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth blade operation. Locking is provided by the proven Liner Lock mechanism.
D2 – High Abrasion Resistance

Does D2 steel require corrosion protection?
Yes. D2 has higher corrosion resistance compared to many tool steels, but it should not be treated as typical stainless steel. After contact with moisture, it is advisable to clean the blade, dry it, and periodically treat it with a suitable protective agent.
How do you sharpen a flat Clip Point blade?
In practice, you can start with about 15–20° per side, maintaining the factory sharpening angle. Regular touch-ups are easier than fully restoring a heavily worn edge.
How does the Liner Lock work on the Quirk model?
When the blade is opened, a section of the steel liner slides under the blade’s base and prevents it from closing on its own. To release the mechanism, you must slide the liner to the side and close the blade in a controlled manner.
Is the Sencut Quirk a spring-assisted knife?
No. The Quirk is a manual knife. The blade can be opened using a flipper or a thumb stud, and the movement is not assisted by a spring-assisted mechanism.
