The Microtech Amphibian Ram-Lok 137RL-1FLGTOD is a large manual folding knife featuring a milled OD Green G10 handle and a black Böhler M390MK steel blade. The design retains the Amphibian’s signature ergonomics, the RAM-LOK locking mechanism, and ambidextrous thumb stud opening.
The G10 version offers a distinctly textured grip, while the titanium backspacer and clip complement the robust construction. Ball bearings ensure smooth blade operation, and the Clip Point profile performs well across a wide range of everyday and utility tasks.
Böhler M390MK – High Resistance to Wear and Corrosion
The blade is made of Böhler M390MK steel, developed for Microtech in collaboration with Böhler. The material offers high resistance to corrosion and abrasion, as well as long-lasting sharpness, making it well-suited for a large utility folding knife.
Clip Point, hollow grind, and black finish
The Clip Point profile provides a long cutting edge and a precise tip. The hollow grind helps the blade penetrate the material effectively, and the black finish on the blade creates a striking contrast with the OD Green handle.
Fluted OD Green G10 and RAM-LOK
The handle is made of milled G10 in OD Green. The textured surface enhances grip control, and the material remains resistant to moisture and typical conditions of everyday use. The construction is completed by a solid gray titanium backspacer.
Manual opening is achieved via a thumb stud, and ball bearings ensure smooth blade movement. RAM-LOK provides the locking mechanism, while the titanium clip can be mounted on the right or left side in a tip-up configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Böhler M390MK?
M390MK steel is highly corrosion-resistant, but it’s a good idea to clean and dry the blade after use. Periodically applying a thin layer of a suitable protective agent helps keep the surface in good condition.
What sharpening angle works best for the Amphibian?
A good starting point is approximately 15–20° per side, preferably while maintaining the factory edge geometry. With M390MK, it’s best to use high-performance abrasives.
How does RAM-LOK work?
RAM-LOK uses a transverse locking element that stabilizes the blade when fully extended. The mechanism can be operated without moving your fingers directly into the path of the folding blade.
How do you clean milled G10?
G10 can be cleaned with a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth. The milled surface can collect fine debris in its grooves, so periodic thorough cleaning helps maintain the Handle’s texture.
How to maintain ball bearings?
It’s a good idea to regularly clean the pivot mechanism of dust and fine debris. After cleaning, you can apply a small amount of lubricant designed for knife mechanisms, taking care not to use too much.
