The Microtech M-Stitch RAM-LOK 169MRL-10FR is a compact folding knife that combines the distinctive geometry of Borka Blades’ design with Microtech’s engineering solutions. The Spear Point blade, made of Böhler M390MK steel, features a stonewashed finish, while the black aluminum handle is adorned with a milled “Frag” pattern.
The model features a manual opening system via a hole in the blade and a RAM-LOK lock. The blade is mounted on ball bearings, and the reversible steel clip allows the knife to be carried on the right or left side, with the tip pointing upward.
Böhler M390MK – Wear and Corrosion Resistance
Böhler M390MK steel was developed for Microtech as a special variant of M390. It combines high resistance to abrasion and corrosion with very good edge retention, making it well-suited to the demands of a compact utility folder.
Spear Point, flat grind, and stonewashed
The Spear Point profile gives the blade a massive shape characteristic of the Stitch family, with a distinctly defined tip. The flat grind ensures versatile cutting geometry, and the stonewashed finish gives the surface a more subdued, practical look.
Black aluminum Frag and RAM-LOK
The handle is made of black-finished aluminum and features a milled Frag pattern. The geometric texture emphasizes the model’s technical character and adds variety to the grip surface.
A hole in the blade allows for manual opening, and ball bearings support smooth movement around the axis. When fully extended, the blade is stabilized by the RAM-LOK lock. The design is complemented by a steel clip that can be switched to the right or left side, allowing the knife to be carried with the tip pointing upward.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Böhler M390MK?
After use, it’s a good idea to clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. The M390MK is highly corrosion-resistant, but regular maintenance helps keep the surface and edge in good condition.
How do I sharpen a Spear Point blade?
It is best to preserve the factory-set edge geometry and guide the abrasive along its natural contour. For the M390MK, it is recommended to use high-performance abrasives designed for steel with high wear resistance.
How does RAM-LOK work?
RAM-LOK uses a transverse locking element that secures the blade once it is opened. The lock is released without having to place your fingers directly in the path of the folding blade.
How do you clean the black Frag handle?
The milled surface is best cleaned with a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth. Dust and small particles of dirt can accumulate in the recesses of the Frag pattern, so it’s a good idea to clean them more thoroughly from time to time.
How do you maintain the pivot mechanism?
It’s a good idea to regularly clean dust and fine debris from around the axle and ball bearings. After cleaning, you can apply a small amount of a suitable knife mechanism lubricant.
