The Microtech Hera II Mini 1705M-10 is a compact OTF automatic knife designed by Tony Marfione, featuring a M390MK steel blade with a Drop Point Recurve profile. The black aluminum handle, stonewashed finish, and Double-Action OTF mechanism make this a practical variant of the Hera II Mini series.
The 73.66 mm blade features a flat grind and a curved Recurve edge that facilitates aggressive penetration into the material being cut. The Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ mechanism is responsible for automatically extending and retracting the blade.
M390MK – steel developed for Microtech
The blade is made of M390MK steel, a variant of M390 developed for Microtech in collaboration with Böhler. The material is characterized by high wear resistance and very good corrosion resistance.
Drop Point Recurve and stonewashed
The Drop Point Recurve profile combines a well-controlled tip with a hollow section of the cutting edge. This geometry helps keep the material being cut on the edge, and the stonewashed finish minimizes the visibility of minor signs of use.
Black Aluminum and Gen II Mechanism
The handle is made of black aluminum. Its design also incorporates the rear section, which serves as a backspacer, maintaining the compact form of the body.
The Double-Action OTF mechanism works in conjunction with the Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ system, enabling automatic blade deployment and retraction. The 6AL4V titanium clip can be mounted on the right or left side in a tip-down configuration.
