0,00 €Microtech M-Stitch RAM-LOK S/E Black Frag Aluminum, Apocalyptic M390MK by Borka Blades and Tony Marfione – a compact Stitch for EDC
Microtech M-Stitch RAM-LOK 169MRL-10APFR combines compact dimensions with the distinctive design of the Stitch family. The Wharncliffe blade made of Böhler M390MK steel, the Apocalyptic finish, and the black aluminum handle with Frag milling create a cohesive, technical configuration. Manual opening via the thumb hole and the RAM-LOK lock ensure comfortable operation from both sides.
Weighing approximately 100 g, this model is significantly lighter than the full-size Stitch RAM-LOK, without sacrificing the robust nature of its construction. The deeply milled handle fits comfortably in the hand, and ball bearings support smooth blade movement. The design is complemented by a titanium backspacer and a double-sided tip-up clip.
Böhler M390MK – Durability and Corrosion Resistance
Böhler M390MK offers high corrosion resistance and excellent edge retention, making it well-suited for a folding knife intended for frequent use. The flat grind ensures functional blade geometry and maintains good cutting performance when handling typical everyday materials.
Wharncliffe – Control During Cutting
Wharncliffe features a long cutting edge and a distinctly defined tip. This profile works well for tasks requiring control over the cutting line, especially when opening packages, working with cardboard, or cutting tape and string. The flat grind helps the blade penetrate the material evenly.
Apocalyptic – a distinctive, functional character
The Apocalyptic finish gives the blade surface a matte and irregular appearance. Combined with the black Frag handle, it creates a dark, technical look and helps visually conceal minor marks that appear during regular use.
Black Frag Aluminum
The Black aluminum handle features the distinctive Frag milling pattern. The geometric texture adds surface variation and improves grip stability, which is particularly important during more dynamic use. The compact proportions allow for good control without significantly increasing the knife’s overall size.
RAM-LOK and Ball Bearings
RAM-LOK allows for two-handed release of the lock, making the design intuitive to use for both right- and left-handed users. Ball bearings ensure smooth blade movement, and the thumb hole provides a large, easily accessible point for manual opening.
Titanium backspacer with an Apocalyptic finish
The rear of the design is complemented by a titanium backspacer with an Apocalyptic finish. The steel clip can be mounted on either side of the handle in a tip-up configuration, allowing you to customize how you carry it to suit your preferences.
Why Choose the Microtech M-Stitch RAM-LOK 169MRL-10APFR?

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the M-Stitch a full-size version of the Stitch?
No. The M-Stitch is a more compact version of the Stitch design, making it smaller and lighter. However, it retains the characteristic blade geometry and the RAM-LOK lock mechanism.
Does the Frag handle improve grip?
Yes. The geometric milling increases the texture of the aluminum handle’s surface and helps you hold the knife more securely in your hand while working.
How does the Thumb Hole opening mechanism work?
A large hole in the blade allows you to rest your thumb on it and manually initiate rotation. Ball bearings reduce resistance and ensure smooth operation of the mechanism.
Is the RAM-LOK convenient for left-handed users?
Yes. The locking mechanism is accessible from both sides of the handle, and the clip can be moved to the right or left side.
What are the advantages of the Apocalyptic finish?
The Apocalyptic finish gives the blade a matte, irregular texture that complements the knife’s utilitarian character. Minor signs of wear are less visible on this surface than on a uniform, polished finish.
