573,35 €Microtech Ultratech Gen III ZBP Bayonet OD Green Aluminum, Black M390MK by Tony Marfione – OTF automatic knife with Dual-Fuel Drive Train™
The Microtech Ultratech Gen III ZBP 1120-1OD is an automatic OTF knife featuring a Bayonet blade made of Böhler M390MK steel with a black finish and a 6061-T6 aluminum handle in OD Green. The contrasting design combines outdoor-inspired colors with a technical aesthetic, while the Zero Blade Play™ Slide Lock and Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ mechanisms ensure modern, smooth operation.
The model retains the slim profile characteristic of Ultratech, making it comfortable to carry despite its full-size blade. The push/pull thumb slider allows for one-handed automatic opening and closing, while the titanium clip can be positioned on the right or left side in a tip-down configuration.
Böhler M390MK – High-Performance Steel for EDC
Böhler M390MK combines high corrosion resistance with excellent edge retention and wear resistance. In an OTF folding knife, it provides a durable cutting edge suitable for regular everyday use. The flat grind facilitates smooth cutting through materials and predictable blade guidance.
Bayonet – a slender form and a precise tip
The Bayonet profile features a centrally located tip and a slender blade line. This geometry promotes precise blade guidance and gives the knife its distinctive silhouette. The flat grind maintains practical effectiveness during everyday cutting.
Black blade finish
The black blade finish emphasizes the Ultratech’s technical character and creates a striking contrast with the OD Green handle. The dark surface further accentuates the Bayonet profile and gives the entire design a more assertive look.
OD Green 6061-T6 Aluminum
The handle is made of 6061-T6 aluminum in OD Green. The material provides good rigidity while keeping weight down, and the handle’s slim profile makes the knife comfortable to carry on a daily basis. The OD Green color gives the design an outdoor feel without compromising its minimalist form.
Zero Blade Play™ Slide Lock
The Zero Blade Play™ Slide Lock is designed to minimize perceptible blade play in the open position. It works in conjunction with the Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ system to create a compact and smooth-operating automatic mechanism.
Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ and push/pull Thumb slider
The Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ is responsible for the automatic movement of the blade. Sliding the thumb slider extends the blade, while sliding it in the opposite direction automatically retracts it into the handle. The mechanism allows you to operate the entire cycle with one hand.
Why Choose the Microtech Ultratech Gen III ZBP 1120-1OD?
This is the model for users who prefer the striking contrast of a dark blade paired with an OD Green outdoor-style handle. M390MK, Bayonet, Zero Blade Play™, Dual-Fuel Drive Train™, and a titanium clip come together to create a refined OTF knife for everyday carry.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Black version differ from the Apocalyptic variant?
The difference lies in the blade’s surface finish. The Black version has a uniform, dark surface, while the Apocalyptic version has a matte, intentionally irregular texture.
What does Zero Blade Play™ mean?
It is a design feature intended to minimize the perceptible play of the blade once it is extended. This helps the pistol maintain a more compact profile in the ready position.
Can the blade be retracted automatically?
Yes. The mechanism operates in both directions, and the push/pull thumb slider controls both the extension and retraction of the blade.
Is this model suitable for left-handed users?
The clip can be moved to the left side of the Handle, and the slider is positioned for comfortable one-handed operation. The design therefore allows the carry style to be adapted for left-handed users.
What are the advantages of the Bayonet profile?
The Bayonet profile features a centrally located tip and a slender geometry. It performs well in tasks requiring control over the blade tip and a precise start to the cut.
