370,70 €Microtech Exocet II D/E Tan Aluminum, Stonewashed P/S M390MK by Tony Marfione – an OTF automatic knife with a partially serrated edge
Exocet II 1157-11TA is an evolution of the classic D/E version featuring a partially serrated P/S edge. The double-edged blade, made of Böhler M390MK steel, features a stonewashed finish, while the handle is crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum in Tan. The compact design is complemented by a D/A OTF mechanism with Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ and a distinctive wide titanium clip.
The combination of a smooth and serrated section enhances the versatility of the short blade. The smooth section works well for controlled cuts, while the serrations help with fibrous materials, straps, or cords. A thumb-operated slider allows the blade to automatically extend and retract without changing your grip.
M390MK and Partial Serrated Edge
P/S – (Partially Serrated) refers to a partially serrated cutting edge. The serrated section improves the ability to aggressively initiate cuts in fibrous materials, while the Plain Edge section maintains the ability to make clean, controlled cuts. The blade is made of Böhler M390MK.
Double Edge and stonewashed
The symmetrical D/E profile utilizes both sides of the blade, and the stonewashed finish gives the surface a matte and practical appearance. The uneven texture complements the functional purpose of the partially serrated version well, minimizing the visibility of fine scratches.
Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ – Fully Automatic D/A
The Exocet II features the Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ and a Slide Lock. Pushing the Thumb Slider forward automatically extends the blade, while pulling it back retracts it. This design allows for one-handed operation and quick preparation for use.
Tan-colored aluminum and titanium clip
The handle is made of 6061-T6 aluminum in Tan. The slim profile makes it comfortable to carry, while the wide titanium “tip-down” clip allows you to secure the knife in your pocket or use it to hold banknotes.
Why choose the Exocet II 1157-11TA?
The P/S variant is the most versatile configuration among the presented D/E versions. It combines a classic blade with a serrated section, allowing it to handle various types of materials more effectively. At the same time, it retains all the features of the Exocet II: M390MK steel, full automation, a compact design, and a functional titanium clip.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does P/S mean?
P/S stands for Partial Serrated, meaning a partially serrated edge. One section retains a smooth edge, while the other uses serrations for more aggressive cutting of fibrous materials.
Is the serrated section sharpened the same way as a Plain Edge?
No. The serrations require a tool tailored to the shape of each individual tooth, while the smooth section can be sharpened using standard methods suitable for M390MK steel.
Is the stonewashed finish practical on the P/S version?
Yes. The matte finish helps mask minor signs of wear, which suits the more utilitarian nature of the partially serrated blade well.
Does the knife close automatically?
Yes. The D/A OTF design automatically extends and retracts the blade using the same thumb slider.
