Microtech Exocet II D/E OTF Knife Tan Aluminium, Black M390MK by Tony Marfione (1157-1TA)

Microtech Exocet II D/E Tan Aluminum, Black M390MK by Tony Marfione – compact OTF D/A automatic knife

Exocet II 1157-1TA features a sand-colored Tan handle paired with a black D/E double-edged blade made of Böhler M390MK steel. The striking color contrast is complemented by the automatic D/A mechanism, the Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ system, and the wide titanium clip characteristic of the Exocet family.

Its compact size makes it easy to carry the knife as part of your everyday gear, and the full OTF mechanism allows for quick one-handed deployment and retraction of the blade. The construction remains lightweight thanks to the use of 6061-T6 aluminum, and the clip can also serve as a money clip.

Double-edged blade made of M390MK

Böhler M390MK steel provides high corrosion resistance and good edge retention. The Double Edge profile features two cutting edges and a centrally located tip, allowing for effective use of the blade’s short length.

Black blade finish

The black blade finish creates a striking contrast with the tan handle and gives the knife a subdued, technical look. The dark surface complements the compact design of the Exocet II and the other finishing elements, maintaining a consistent aesthetic throughout the model.

Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ Automatic Mechanism

The Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ is responsible for automatic opening and closing. The thumb slider allows you to extend the blade and retract it into the aluminum handle without manual contact with the blade.

6061-T6 Aluminum and Money Clip

The handle is made of lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum. The titanium clip, in a right-handed, tip-down configuration, has a wide design and, in addition to securing the knife in your pocket, can be used to hold folded bills or cards.

Why Choose the Exocet II 1157-1TA?

The Black/Tan variant stands out primarily for its contrasting design, while retaining all the functional features of the Exocet II. M390MK, D/E, full automation, and compact dimensions create an interesting configuration for users who prefer compact OTFs.
