SUB 11 D2 BLACK knife for a diver with a solid steel blade Stainless Steel about full tang construction made by the Italian MAC Coltellerie Company. An indispensable piece of equipment, it works well during diving trips and onshore activities.
Blade - 3.8 mm thickness. Made of polished stainless steel molybdenum vanadium W 1.4116 (X50CrMoV15) with high resistance to corrosion, adapted for long-term contact with water. Hardened steel in the range of 55-56 HRC. The blade is covered with a mat,, scratch-resistant, non-reflective IDROGLIDER GOLD® Black coating.
Edge - with excellent cutting properties, was made with a flat cut (Flat Grind) was made. One of the blades fully smooth (Plain type), the second serrated (Serrated type), used in good diving, rescue and survival knives. The unique blade consists alternately of one large and three small teeth called „three-step”. This pattern increases the cutting edge length by up to 24% in relation to the straight edge. Ideal for aggressive cutting of hard materials, plastics and fibrous like ropes or nets.
Handle - in black color. Covered with non-slip textured rubber-like cladding, made of thermoplastic elastomer also called TPE thermoplastic rubber (guarantees a secure grip in the water environment), combined with the PP polymer. The ergonomic shape of the cladding prevents the hands from slipping during work. In the back of the grip a hole (lanyard hole) to pull the safety rope.
Case - made of PE (polyethylene) with gaps for draining water, moisture. The holster is equipped with a latch with a blockade preventing the knife from slipping out in the water. Two rubber straps and 2 plastic buckles to attach the case to the inside of the calf / shank or to the jacket.
