Black Chrome - a very hard coating with high abrasion resistance, applied to steel in a process similar to electroplating. The Black Chrome finish provides a deep black color, does not flake or chip, and increases the corrosion protection of the steel components.
Steel - the baton components are made from seamless, cold-drawn tubes of AISI/SAE 4130 Cro-Mo alloy steel, containing chromium and molybdenum. The material has been hardened to 40–45 HRC, providing high resistance to deformation during intensive use. The steel is characterized by high resistance to mechanical stress, tensile loads, bending, and impact. Its tensile strength is 201,000 PSI, approximately 1,386 MPa.
