Agent – this baton sets new standards in defensive technology. The reduced diameter of the shafts and handle, low weight, Cap Release button, and Nexus Clip allow the baton to be carried comfortably and discreetly close to the body, including inside the waistband. Conventional expandable batons with a Friction Loc locking system are deployed using a forceful wrist motion. The Agent can be opened in two ways: conventionally with a swinging motion or manually by pulling the baton tip and extending the shafts. The second method is useful when discretion is required, as it eliminates the characteristic deployment sound, as well as in confined spaces where a full swinging motion is not possible. The Agent baton can be closed with one hand. Simply press the Cap Release button located at the end of the handle to disengage the Disc Loc mechanism, rest the baton tip against a stable surface, and retract the shafts into the handle.
Steel – the baton components are made from seamless, cold-drawn tubes of AISI/SAE 4140 alloy steel, corresponding to the European DIN 42CrMo4 grade. This chromium-molybdenum alloy was developed and manufactured for ASP by the German company Krupp. The steel shafts are hardened to 49 HRC, providing excellent resistance to deformation, bending, impact, and heavy mechanical loads during intensive use. The steel has a tensile strength of 150,000 PSI and a yield strength of 120,000 PSI. The baton’s striking section is made from a seamless, cold-drawn 4140 / DIN 42CrMo4 steel tube, while the baton tip is manufactured from carbon steel.
Black Chrome – an extremely hard, highly abrasion-resistant coating applied to steel using a process similar to electroplating. The Black Chrome finish provides a deep black color, does not peel or chip, and improves the corrosion resistance of the steel components.
Handle – the Crosstec Knurled Grip features spiral microgrooves that provide a secure and stable hold, even in demanding conditions. Its textured surface improves hand traction, while the rings positioned at regular intervals allow the included Nexus Clip to be attached at various points along the handle.
Clip – the removable Nexus Clip can be attached at different points and in various positions on the handle. The clip can be installed in either direction, allowing the baton to be carried tip-up or tip-down. This allows the carry configuration to be adjusted to individual preferences, supporting discreet carry and rapid access when required.
