D2 - High carbon tool steel blade. With a high 10-13% chromium content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge retention and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC and abrasion resistance.
Blade - drop point type, stonewashed finish in black. Elongated tang extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converging towards a needle-sharp tip. Thickness of blade provides high strength while high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties almost razor sharp. Ceramic ball bearings assist in opening the blade in two ways, with the Thumb Slot or the quick index-finger flipper which doubles as a hilt when opened. To maintain blade control, the back of the blade is covered with upper jimping, a long-notched thumb rest. Finger choil, a notch under the index finger prevents the blade from slipping when performing precision tasks. Liner-Lock mechanism.
Handle - chamfered dark green micarta plastic liners attached to stainless steel liners. Surface with tactile texture for improved grip.
