30,15 €This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
MicroSub 304 Gray ABS, Black Idroglider is an ultra-lightweight, compact back-up diving knife equipped with a blade for cutting ropes and straps, as well as a lanyard hole. It is designed for attachment to diving equipment as a secondary safety tool for quick underwater use. The blade is coated with a black matte Idroglider Gold® Black finish, which reduces light reflections and increases protection of the blade surface. The knife is intended for freedivers, spearfishing enthusiasts, and professionals working underwater. The blade is made from W 1.4301 stainless steel, providing good corrosion resistance, durability, and effective cutting performance. Its compact 6 cm blade allows quick cutting of lines, straps, and other materials encountered underwater. A high-performance blade, comfortable handle, and low-profile sheath with a secure locking mechanism make the MicroSub 304 a practical piece of equipment for every diving trip.
W 1.4301 (AISI 304 / 18-8) is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel containing approximately 18% chromium, 8% nickel, and a low carbon content of up to 0.08%. It is one of the most commonly used general-purpose stainless steel grades. In the annealed condition, W 1.4301 steel is generally non-magnetic; however, after cold working it may exhibit slight magnetic properties. It cannot be hardened by conventional heat treatment. Increased mechanical strength is achieved primarily through strain hardening, i.e. cold working. The chromium content provides good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, moisture, and oxidation. Nickel stabilizes the austenitic structure, improving ductility, toughness, and corrosion resistance in many service environments. The low carbon content reduces the risk of chromium carbide precipitation in the heat-affected zone, thereby decreasing the steel’s susceptibility to intergranular corrosion.
Blade - dagger-type, double-edged, with very good cutting performance, finished with a flat grind. One cutting edge is fully plain, while the other is fully serrated, with a short plain section near the tip. The unique serrated edge consists alternately of one large tooth and three smaller teeth, forming the so-called three-step pattern. This geometry increases the cutting edge length by up to 24% compared to a plain edge. This solution performs particularly well when aggressively cutting hard materials, plastics, and fibrous materials such as ropes or nets. The blade is coated with a scratch-resistant, non-reflective Idroglider Gold® Black finish.
Handle - gray, with anti-slip, textured ABS scales. The contoured construction and steel guard improve safety during use by helping prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade. The ergonomic shape provides a secure and stable grip, even with a wet hand or diving glove.
Sheath - made of hard PP polymer with holes for drainage of water, moisture. The holster is equipped with a latch to prevent the knife from slipping out in water. The sheath comes with two rubber straps and 2 plastic buckles for attaching the case to the hand, leg or to a vest.
