Karambit Black G10, Black N690Co, folding knife from Italian company FOX. Folder shows how traditional karambit knives originating from Southeast Asia have evolved. Hawkbill blade of N690Co steel with Idroglider® Black coating, Tip-Up clip, three quick release systems Emerson hook, flipper and oblong notch.

Karambit - a type of knife that originated in Indonesia, with roots in Malaysia and the Philippines. It is characterized by a finger ring and sickle-shaped blade, which is characterized by great cutting efficiency - mimics the way an eagle claw or tiger claw tears. Used as a work knife and for defense.

Emerson Opener (Emerson Wave) Ernest Emerson's patented hook on the back of the blade allows for quick opening of the blade when removing the knife from a pocket by hooking the hook over the edge of the pocket.

Steel

N690Co - high carbon stainless steel with cobalt added for structural uniformity. Hardened to 58-60 HRC. Manufactured in Böhler-Uddeholm steelworks in Austria.

Blade

With an aggressive Hawkbill profile, the rounded shape of the blade features great cutting efficiency and speed. The Hawkbill profile mimics the way an eagle's claw or tiger's claw tears, piercing and cutting at the same time. Plain smooth blade with an ultra-thin tip and excellent curve for maximum cutting ability. The oval cut in the blade has increased thumb support hump (ramp) which positions the thumb directly over the opening allowing you to quickly open the knife even with a glove. LAWKS Lock Back with added security.

Idroglider® Black - scratch resistant, matte non-reflective coating made of PTFE. Provides long blade life and rust resistance.

Handle

Rouge textured non-slip grips for better grip. Made of durable, resistant to mechanical damage, chemicals, low temperatures G10 material. Non-conductive, prevents gloves from freezing to the covers. Spine jimping notches on back of handle for sure grip. Clip attachment (left/right) for carrying knife in tip-up position. The handle is finished with a polished head with a T6-6082 aircraft aluminum finger ring (Back Ring). Makes it easier to rotate the folder around your finger, allowing you to perform traditional techniques.
