14C28N - martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. ULTEM™ - a plastic belonging to the family of Polyethermoids or simply PEI. This material is characterized primarily by high mechanical and impact strength with a very high strength-to-weight ratio. It is also characterized by high thermal resistance (180⁰C) and high chemical resistance to all kinds of solvents (synthetic and natural), lubricants or other chemicals. Adding to this total insensitivity to weather conditions, we get an ideal material for knife handles.
Handle - grips made of transparent Ultem™ plastic, textured to improve grip confidence, are bolted to the knife's steel frame. The so-called open-backed design without the typical backspacer, fastened together with steel spacer sleeves for easy cleaning. The simple, secure design gives assurance of many years of use. A deep finger undercut (fore finger groove) improves grip security. The pivot axis is decorated with a stylized manufacturer's logo. A two-position (right/left) metal deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up). Above the clip a lanyard hole, a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
