Slim Midi Marauder Tanto, Gray Titanium, Std HW, Brushed/Flamed Tsunami Clip, Tumbled from Medford Knife & Tool offers the rugged design of the larger version, the Marauder-H, but with a thinner blade and handle for easy everyday carry. This attractive Slim Marauder features a sturdy titanium handle and a CPM S45VN stainless steel blade that has exceptional edge retention and increased corrosion resistance, while the drop point blade has beautiful, clean lines. CPM S45VN - American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, one of the best blade steels. Designed to provide better strength compared to CPM S30V, while keeping corrosion resistance at the highest level. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy/ Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition has been balanced so that it is composed of 0.5% niobium carbides (Nb) along with 3.0% vanadium (V) and 14.0% chromium (Cr) carbides. The improved strength of CPM S45VN also provides better resistance to edge chipping.

Blade - with a T/E (Tanto Edge) profile - has been machine-finished using the “tumbled” method, hand-laid concave grinds give excellent cutting properties combined with high strength. The striking embossing increases the strength, using them to open the knife. For increased insensitivity to contamination, phosphor bronze washers are used, making the pivot axis more resistant to field work. A powerful titanium frame lock bar secures the knife from folding, unfolded and secured the knife is as solid as an armored cash register.

Handle - made of solid titanium, at the back of the handle a hole for interweaving a safety or decorative cord. The whole is completed by a solid clip, brushed and flame-colored with a “Tsunami” pattern. 

Included - cardboard box, nylon pouch and signed “Certificate of Creation and Authenticity”.
