CPM S20CV - one of the best tool steels in the world, American premium martensitic stainless steel. Produced by US Crucible Industries according to the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process. The CPM process yields a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. Designed to provide better wear resistance while maintaining corrosion resistance at the highest level. This super steel is comparable to Bohler's M390 steel or Carpenter's CTS-204P. According to some knife manufacturers, 20CV is the best of these three steels in terms of edge retention. It consists of 19.0% carbon, 20.0% chromium, 4.0% vanadium, 1.0% molybdenum and 0.6% tungsten. The high percentage of chromium with a touch of molybdenum makes 20CV one of the best high-end corrosion-resistant steels.
Blade - wide Clip Point type blade , finished with hand satin finish. It opens with a flipper flipper so it can be easily used by right and left-handed people. It can also be opened with the help of an oblong hole in the wedge. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth operation of the opening mechanism. The small thickness of the wedge, combined with a high flat grind (Flat Grind), gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Handle - is thick pieces of titanium 6AL4V, beautifully milled with the help of CNC machine tools, Bead Blasted and polished finish. On the presentation side there is an inlay made of flame-dyed titanium, on the locking side there are holes adding visual lightness. Only a few companies are able to make a Handle with such incredible accuracy! The titanium backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. The simplicity and solidity of the construction give the assurance of many years of use. The single-position clip (right), made of titanium, allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position. The pivot axis decorated with a gray rim (pivot collar cap). In the hidden recess of the backspacer you will find a place to thread a safety or decorative cord.
