Warning and Safety Information for the KnifeMore

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.

Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.

A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.

When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.

Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.

Jason Guthrie - began his career in knife making in 2014, at his family's shooting range in South Africa. While working as a firearms instructor and salesman, he gained experience in gunsmithing and workshop work. Jason was also an avid knife collector for many years and enjoyed spending time writing reviews of knives he owned on forums and social media. His true knife-making dream and passion began with coming up with his own knife design. His first knife, the “Ranger,” was the result of combining all the features of a knife he personally wanted to carry. In 2020, Jason emigrated to Norway, where he now lives on a mountain overlooking the beautiful Otra River and has his own workshop. When Jason is not in the workshop, he is making knives, hiking with his family or fishing in Norway's beautiful rivers.

CPM 20CV - one of the best tool steels, American premium martensitic stainless steel. Produced by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. Designed to provide better wear resistance while maintaining corrosion resistance at the highest level. This super steel is comparable to Bohler's M390 steel or Carpenter's CTS-204P. According to some knife manufacturers, 20CV is the best of these three steels in terms of edge retention. It consists of 1.9% carbon (C), 20.0% chromium (Cr), 4.0% vanadium (V), 1.0% molybdenum (Mo) and 0.6% tungsten (W). The high percentage of chromium with a touch of molybdenum makes 20CV one of the best high-end corrosion-resistant steels.

Blade - drop point type, finished impressively with Two Tone method, polished grinds and then covered with gray coating, the rest satin finish. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings support the opening of the blade with a discreet front f lipper (index-finger front flipper). We can also open the knife with a double-sided stud in the blade (Dual Thumb Stud). Finger choil, a cut under the index finger, prevents the blade from slipping when performing precision tasks. Upper jimping, a notched thumb rest on the back of the wedge for better control. The entire blade is locked with a bolster lock with a steel inlay to prevent wiping of the lock face.

Nebula Carbon Fiber - a project by Fat Carbon, specializing in the production of epoxy-carbon composites (carbon fiber), used among others for knife handle scales! The unique pattern is inspired by the beauty and mystery of a distant galaxy and the nebula within it, specifically the Veil Nebula. A remnant of a supernova, it serves as the inspiration for this product, boasting an aesthetic appeal throughout its entire thickness. The Nebula pattern is consistent across the full thickness of the slab, allowing for breathtaking rendering on any knife handle.

Handle - bolsters made of polished and then gray-coated 6AL4V titanium, handle made of Nebula Fat Carbon, virtually indestructible plastic, insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Chamfered cover edges eliminate sharp edges. The open-backed design reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The pivot axis is decorated with a titanium overlay (Pivot Cap). A single-position (right) titanium deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up).

Case - included zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
