420 - high carbon martensitic stainless steel with an increased carbon (C) content of 0.17% to 0.23%, also containing chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo). It offers high hardenability in the 54-58 HRC range, as well as strength, ductility, machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content forms chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, this steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools, knife blades and medical instruments.
Blade - a wide Bowie type blade finished elegantly Satinized. Despite its thickness, the hollow grind provides excellent cutting properties combined with excellent durability. Guard on both sides, made of zinc and aluminum alloy, protects fingers from slipping on the blade while working.
