AUS-10 produced at Takefu Special Steel Corporation' s steel mills based in Fukui, Japan, a vanadium-rich 0.3% (V), molybdenum-rich 1.20% (Mo) and cobalt-rich 1.5% (Co) high-carbon stainless steel. The balanced combination of high carbon content of 1.05% (C) and chromium content of 15.50% (Cr) makes for a stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, high hardness (hardened to around 60 HRC) and the ability to hold an edge for a long time. As a result, the knife can be easily sharpened, providing a razor-sharp blade.

Blade- sheepfoot type, finished with a Beadblasted finish that mask minor scratches created during use. The long cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings support the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened with a quick index-finger flipper. When opened, the flipper forms a mini-Guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. We can also open the knife with the help of a hole milled into the blade. To improve control of the blade, the back of the wedge is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest. The whole thing is locked with the proven Liner-Lock lock.

Handle - grips made of G10 composite, a virtually indestructible plastic, insensitive to weather, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage, textured to improve grip confidence, are screwed to the knife' s steel frame. The massive backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. A deep finger undercut (fore finger groove) improves grip confidence. Simple, solid construction gives you the assurance of many years of use. Deep finger undercut (fore finger groove) improves grip security. The pivot axis is decorated with a screw with a stylized manufacturer's logo. A single-position (right-side) titanium deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up). Above the clip lanyard hole, a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
