CPM MagnaCut - Powdered stainless steel produced by the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process hardened to 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high content of vanadium 4.0% (V), molybdenum 2.0% (Mo) and niobium 2.0% (Nb) guarantees accuracy and purity unmatched by more “conventional” steels. Designed and developed specifically for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. With CPM MagnaCut succeeded in creating a steel that combines the unique properties of knife steels like no other. DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) surface durability of the blade is enhanced with a black matte nanocomposite coating that exhibits the unique properties of natural diamonds, such as exceptional hardness and low friction, also corrosion resistance. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry.
Compression-Lock - (similar to Liner-Lock) Blade locking mechanism patented by Spyderco (made in USA). Extremely durable, it provides extreme strength and ease of use. Located on the back of the Handle, it protects the knife from inadvertent locking. When releasing the lock, the fingers are not in the path of the folding Blade.
Blade - Plain blade led out with a flat grind (Flat Grind). Round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) for ambidextrous opening with the thumb. The fine-tuned, precision-machined Compression Lock Blade locking mechanism guarantees extremely smooth operation. The notched thumb rest (upper jimping) on the back of the blade and the Finger Choil (an undercut for the index finger between the Handle and the cutting edge) make it easier to control the knife.
Handle - profiled, covered with non-slip textured grips made of durable, heat- and cold-resistant, chemical-resistant G10 composite. The grips are attached to a solid spacer (so-called backspacer / handle grips connector), which ensures the strength of the construction. The whole thing was fastened with torx screws for easy twisting and unfolding of the folder . Stainless steel metal clip with 4-way clip positions (up/down, right/left).
