CPM MagnaCut - powder stainless steel produced by the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) process hardened to 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high content of vanadium 4.0% (V), molybdenum 2.0% (Mo) and niobium 2.0% (Nb) guarantees accuracy and purity unmatched by more “conventional” steels. Designed and developed specifically for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. With CPM MagnaCut succeeded in creating a steel that combines the unique properties of knife steels like no other. The result is a blade material that offers a remarkable balance of wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance. There is no other steel on the world market today that offers a comparable combination of superior properties. This unique steel is produced at Crucible® Industries' U.S. steel mills.

Compression-Lock - (similar to Liner-Lock) Spyderco 's (made in USA) patented blade locking mechanism. Extremely durable, it provides extreme strength and ease of use. Located on the back of the Handle, it protects the knife from inadvertent locking. When releasing the lock, the fingers are not in the path of the folding Blade.

DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) durability of the blade's surface is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry.

Blade - with Wharncliff profile ,3.7 mm thick. Plain blade coated with black DLC coating, was derived with Full Flat Grind. The straight cutting edge provides exceptional cutting performance, transferring power to the blade's hilt and providing better point strength. The SpyderHole round cutout (Spyderco patent) allows the Blade to be easily opened with a glove as well as wet, sweaty hands.

Handle grips - stainless steel liners and lightweight G-10 composite grips , durable, resistant to heat and cold, chemicals. The whole was screwed together with torx screws for easy unfolding / folding of the folder. A double-sided (right/left) metal clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up).
