14C28N - martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest achievement in the range of knife steels produced by the Swedish steelmaker Sandvik. Its optimized chemical composition, featuring a unique combination of elements, ensures the highest quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness, and corrosion resistance. By reducing the carbon content to 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content to 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding 0.11% nitrogen (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly enhanced. When the knife is opened, the locking bar engages from above with the rear part of the blade, preventing it from moving back. This bar is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking occurs by pulling the locking bar backward; its ends are accessible through notches in the side plates of the handle. In the closed position, the bar presses against the cam surface at the rear of the blade, preventing it from opening on its own.
