74,28 €Over Yonder Aluminum Foil G10, Satin is a design by Zac Whitmore that focuses on the practical use of the knife in everyday situations. The design was developed as an EDC tool with excellent ergonomics and predictable performance—free of unnecessary decorative elements, with an emphasis on functionality, comfort, and reliability. The model aligns with Civivi’s philosophy, where modern mechanical solutions are combined with materials proven in heavy-duty use. The spey point-profile blade is paired with a flat grind, which translates to excellent blade control and smooth cutting. This type of geometry works particularly well for precision work and tasks requiring stable, controlled contact with the material. 14C28N steel offers a good balance between corrosion resistance, cutting edge durability, and ease of sharpening, making it a practical choice for an everyday carry knife. The satin finish enhances the blade’s utilitarian character and minimizes the visibility of wear marks. The Aluminum Foil G10 composite handle is designed for a secure grip in various conditions—its texture improves traction and naturally conforms to the hand. The crossbar lock mechanism, combined with ceramic ball bearings, ensures smooth, consistent operation and a high level of safety, while the dual-sided pins allow for intuitive one-handed opening. The Over Yonder is a model for users seeking an EDC tool with stable, predictable performance that will prove itself both in urban environments and during light outdoor activities.
Zac Whitmore—a renowned knife designer—has gained international acclaim for his innovative designs that combine functionality and aesthetics. Whitmore, a mechanical engineer by training, began his career as a craftsman, honing his skills in a small workshop where he experimented with various metalworking techniques. His passion for creating knives stemmed from a fascination with traditional blacksmithing methods and modern manufacturing technologies. As a result, his designs are not only beautiful but also exceptionally durable and functional.
14C28N - martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest achievement in the range of knife steels produced by the Swedish steelmaker Sandvik. Its optimized chemical composition, featuring a unique combination of elements, ensures the highest quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness, and corrosion resistance. By reducing the carbon content to 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content to 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding 0.11% nitrogen (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly enhanced. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price/quality category!
Crossbar Lock - a crossbar that moves horizontally in longitudinal slots in the steel side plates of the handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar engages from above with the rear part of the blade, preventing it from moving back. This bar is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking occurs by pulling the locking bar backward; its ends are accessible through notches in the side plates of the handle. In the closed position, the bar presses against the cam surface at the rear of the blade, preventing it from opening on its own. The advantages of the Crossbar Lock include resistance to contamination, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of operation with both the right and left hand, and smooth operation.
Blade - the spey point profile features a gently sloping spine and a rounded tip, which significantly increases control over the cutting edge and reduces the risk of accidental damage to the material. This geometry facilitates precise work, particularly when cutting plastics, packaging, and materials requiring precise blade guidance. The flat grind ensures smooth and effective penetration of the blade into the material, offering a good balance between cutting aggressiveness and edge durability. This type of grind works well in a wide range of EDC applications, ensuring predictability and repeatability of performance. The satin-finished surface reduces light reflections and effectively masks micro-scratches that occur during use, enhancing the knife’s practicality. The spine features jimping, which improves thumb stability and increases control during tasks requiring greater pressure. The knife opens using thumb studs on both sides, allowing for quick and intuitive preparation of the tool for use. Stability is ensured by the crossbar lock, which securely locks the blade and allows for comfortable release of the mechanism.
Handle—made of Aluminum Foil G10 composite—was designed for intensive, daily use. This material is highly resistant to moisture and changing environmental conditions, and its texture improves grip, especially when working in challenging conditions. The handle profile has been ergonomically designed—a gentle curve and a properly shaped grip line support the natural positioning of the hand and increase stability during work. The construction ensures comfort for both precise tasks and more forceful cuts. The internal structure, based on steel liners, provides rigidity to the entire assembly, and access to the crossbar lock mechanism is designed to allow for quick and intuitive one-handed operation by both right- and left-handed users. The integrated deep-carry clip allows for discreet carrying of the knife in a pocket, and its reversible design increases versatility. The result is a handle with a distinctly utilitarian character—durable, ergonomic, and tailored to real-world EDC conditions.
