Robert Saniscalchi (R.S.Knifeworks) began crafting knives in 2012 with the goal of creating exceptional pieces and allowing his creativity to guide the process. Over the past decade, this process has resulted in some of the most outlandish designs in the industry, ranging from folding knives to swords, axes, and specialty tools. His signature Multigrind has become one of the most recognizable grinding styles in today’s knife industry. In 2020, he began collaborating with various manufacturers, offering his designs to a wider market at a more affordable price. Rob says that each of his knives is like a beautiful woman in a dress, but this woman is also a world-class martial artist. Attractive, yet capable of turning feral in an instant.

M390 - a martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced using powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy composition, it features exceptionally high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high wear resistance, it retains its edge shape well, allowing the blade to stay sharp for a very long time (requires minimal maintenance). Another advantage is its resistance to “wire” formation during sharpening. Steel with a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr), alloyed with 1.9% carbon (C) and 4.0% vanadium (V), hardened to a hardness range of 59–61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

The gray stonewashed finish improves the surface’s resistance to micro-scratches and effectively masks signs of wear, which is important for everyday carry. The overall design maintains a consistent, technical character that fits the aesthetic of modern EDC tools. Safety is ensured by the frame lock, which provides solid and reliable blade security during use and high structural resistance to stress.

Handle - precision-machined 6AL4V titanium, which ensures high rigidity, resistance to mechanical damage, and long-term durability under intensive use. The chamfers and distinct structural lines give the whole a modern, technical character and improve the ergonomics of the grip. A key feature is the G10 composite insert, which contrasts with the titanium base while enhancing grip. This combination of materials ensures excellent control over the tool without compromising on premium aesthetics. The handle profile was designed with an emphasis on stability and precision.
