The Microtech MSI Ram-Lok Mini S/E Orange Fluted Aluminum, Apocalyptic M390MK by Tony Marfione folding knife (210M-10APFLOR) is a compact folding knife featuring a Modified Sheepsfoot blade made of Böhler M390MK steel, a RAM-LOK® lock, and a milled 6061-T6 aluminum handle. The orange Fluted variant stands out with its vibrant color, while the Apocalyptic finish gives the blade a rugged, utilitarian look.
Thumb studs on both sides allow for comfortable opening of the knife with either the right or left hand. The ball-bearing pivot ensures smooth blade movement, and the deep-set clip allows for tip-up carry on either side of the handle.
Böhler M390MK and flat grind
The blade is made of Böhler M390MK stainless steel, developed specifically for Microtech knives. The material offers high corrosion resistance, good edge retention, and properties suitable for a regularly used EDC folder. The Flat grind promotes effective and controlled cutting.
Modified Sheepsfoot and Apocalyptic
The Modified Sheepsfoot profile features a lowered tip, a wide blade, and a long section of Plain Edge cutting edge. This geometry promotes controlled cutting, while the Apocalyptic finish helps minimize the visibility of fine marks caused by use.
Orange Fluted Aluminum and RAM-LOK®
The handle is made of 6061-T6 aluminum in Orange. The milled Fluted pattern increases the number of contact points with the hand, improving grip, control, and ergonomics. The RAM-LOK® lock is ambidextrous and stabilizes the blade when fully extended.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Böhler M390MK steel?
After use, clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. Despite its high corrosion resistance, do not allow moisture, salt, or corrosive substances to remain on it. Before long-term storage, you can apply a thin layer of preservative.
How to sharpen a Modified Sheepsfoot blade?
Sharpen the edge at a consistent angle, guiding the tool along its factory-set profile. Near the lowered tip, reduce pressure to preserve the profile’s geometry and avoid rounding off the tip.
How does the RAM-LOK® lock work?
RAM-LOK® uses a transversely sliding element that stabilizes the blade when open. The mechanism can be operated from both sides of the handle, making the knife easy to use for both right- and left-handed people.
How do you clean the Fluted handle?
Clean the handle with a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth. Pay special attention to the fluted grooves, where dust and small particles can accumulate.
How to maintain the ball-bearing pivot?
The area around the pivot should be regularly cleaned of dust and fine debris. After cleaning, you can apply a small amount of a light lubricant designed for knife mechanisms.
