The Microtech M-Stitch Ram-Lok S/E Orange Frag Aluminum, Stonewashed M390MK folding knife by Borka Blades and Tony Marfione (169MRL-10FROR) is a compact folding knife based on the distinctive Stitch design by Borka Blades and Microtech. The model combines a Wharncliffe blade made of Böhler M390MK steel with an aluminum handle featuring an orange finish, Frag texture, and a RAM-LOK® lock.
The blade is opened manually using a thumb hole, and ball bearings ensure smooth operation of the mechanism. The iconic X Button is a distinctive feature of the RAM-LOK® system, while standard Torx screws facilitate maintenance. The reversible deep-carry clip allows for tip-up carry on either the right or left side.
Böhler M390MK and Flat Grind
The blade is made of Böhler M390MK stainless steel, which provides high corrosion resistance and good edge retention. The Flat grind supports effective cutting and works well with the functional geometry of the Wharncliffe profile.
Wharncliffe and Stonewashed
The Wharncliffe profile features a distinctly defined tip and a long, smooth Plain Edge. The Stonewashed finish gives the blade surface a practical, slightly satin-like character and complements the technical styling of the entire design.
Orange Frag Aluminum and RAM-LOK®
The handle is made of aluminum and finished in orange with a milled Frag pattern. The regular texture increases the number of contact points with the hand, enhancing grip, control, and ergonomic comfort. The RAM-LOK® lock allows for comfortable operation of the knife, and the distinctive Iconic X Button highlights Microtech’s design.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Böhler M390MK steel?
After use, clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. For long-term storage, you can apply a thin layer of a knife-specific preservative.
How do I sharpen a Wharncliffe blade?
Sharpen the edge while maintaining a consistent angle and even pressure. Near the tip, it’s best to reduce the pressure so as not to alter its characteristic geometry.
How does RAM-LOK® work?
RAM-LOK® uses a transverse locking element to stabilize the blade when it is fully extended. The iconic X Button makes it easy to operate the mechanism from either side of the Handle.
How do you clean the Orange Frag Aluminum handle?
The milled surfaces of the Frag are best cleaned with a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth. After removing dirt, the handle should be thoroughly dried.
How to maintain the pivot?
The area around the pivot should be regularly cleaned of dust and debris. After cleaning, you can apply a small amount of a light lubricant designed for knife mechanisms.
