The Microtech M-Stitch Ram-Lok 169MRL-10APFROD combines the distinctive geometry of the Stitch design with a more practical OD Green color scheme and Apocalyptic finish. The Spear Point blade made of Böhler M390MK steel, milled aluminum, and the RAM-LOK mechanism come together to form a compact, sturdy folding knife designed for regular use.
The knife opens manually via a thumb hole, and ball bearings ensure smooth blade operation. The aluminum handle with a Frag pattern provides a distinct texture, while the steel clip allows for convenient carrying in a pocket.
Böhler M390MK – Microtech’s modern steel
Böhler M390MK was developed as a special variant of the M390 created for Microtech in collaboration with Böhler. The steel offers high resistance to abrasion and corrosion, as well as good edge retention, which suits the M-Stitch’s utilitarian nature well.
Spear Point with an Apocalyptic finish
The Spear Point profile retains the recognizable silhouette of the Stitch design and provides a precise tip with a functional cutting edge length. The flat grind facilitates smooth glide through material, while the Apocalyptic finish gives the surface a rougher, more technical look.
OD Green Frag Aluminum and RAM-LOK Lock
The handle is made of aluminum in OD Green and features a milled Frag pattern. The geometric texture enriches the grip surface while remaining one of the most distinctive elements of this variant.
The RAM-LOK is responsible for locking the blade. The manual thumb hole allows you to initiate blade movement without an additional automatic mechanism, and ball bearings ensure smooth operation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for Böhler M390MK steel?
After use, it’s a good idea to clean the blade and dry it thoroughly. M390MK has high corrosion resistance, but periodically treating it with a suitable protective agent helps keep the blade’s surface and the knife’s mechanism in good condition.
How do I sharpen the Spear Point blade on the M-Stitch?
It’s best to preserve the factory edge geometry, using approximately 15–20° per side as a starting point. For the M390MK, high-performance abrasives suitable for highly wear-resistant steel work well.
How does the RAM-LOK lock work?
RAM-LOK locks the blade with a crossbar that moves within the handle. The mechanism can be released without having to place your fingers directly in the blade’s path.
How do you care for the OD Green Frag Aluminum handle?
You can use a soft brush or a damp cloth to clean the milled surface. Pay special attention to the recesses in the Frag pattern, where dust and small particles of dirt can accumulate.
How do you maintain the ball-bearing pivot?
The pivot mechanism should be periodically cleaned of fine debris. After cleaning, you can apply a small amount of lubricant designed for knife mechanisms, avoiding excess.
